i used to cover costellos i want you in my late 80s early 90s folk sets. although i played punk rock clubs in 78, i walked out on the ramones, the clash, and patti smith that year..the only person i stayed for til the end was costello. then imperial bedroom had just about everything i had ever loved in rock music happening.. and when my girlfriend broke up with me, punch the clock was my go to sobbing record. i stopped listening intently to him after brutal youth. i actually stood face to face with him on three occasions, but never spoke to him. first, i held the WBCN mic for him when he was accepting an award at Harvard. Then I hung out after a Roger McGuinn club date while he jammed with McGuinn, and Aimee Man on an hours worth of dylan tunes after the club closed. Finally, I showed him where the videos were when i worked at Seattle Borders. I have a history of non-meeting famous people, as I never talk to someone unless i am introduved or they speak to me. Once I spent hours at a wedding standing at the food table alongside peter gabriel eating crudité. never spoke a word.

thanks for your comment on lonely. i had to force myself not to emulate elvis presley, but i thought i could get away with it on the spoken bridge. never thought about the other elvis, though i have to admit he was an influence on me in the 80s.

Interesting comment about the “delicate” track - I didn’t think of that. I guess I’ve been to so many Vegas shows, it seemed normal to me - lol!

I actually have followed Darko Velcek a bit over the years. His materials would have been spot on, back in the 60's when I first learned about Tesla's description of the Electric Universe, and the 4th state of Matter. And the even more esoteric is how the Human body has a "Plasma" Body surrounding it, You know, that "Aura" that spiritualists are always talking about. Anyway here's to a healthy and happy lifetime.
