Bazzaaaaaaaap!
Yes, here again, third time is the charm.
This year I challenge myself to do at least one really good song, and bunch of crap too so that good one really pops out.

Bass first as usual, rest is just flavoring.
Maybe sing a little too, without shame.

@nadine
Thanks for your offer! Yeah, I am still trying to sort and see what's lacking where... I may come back to that - and have a great time listening!
[avatar]
Thanks very much for listening to “When You’re Famous!” That was a fun one.

@nadine
Thanks a lot for your comments and encouragement! So happy you enjoyed my FAWM songs. Sure you can add a bassline to "Blackout Blues" (how dare I forgot). I just think it's better to wait for @spazsquatch vocal phrasing or for me to rerecord the guitar tracks, cause I have no idea yet which parts will be instrumental. And then I send it back to you OK?

Just checked out “Fallen Leaves” and now I’m a fan. And humbled by the comparison.

I think I told Nadine when I first heard Glimpse that I was feeling a SOAD vibe for the vocal - so definitely was an inspiration! Glad you liked it, thanks for checking it out!
[avatar]
I had a suspicion that might be a vocal, but I was leaning towards synth. Can't win them all!

@nadine
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed "Glimpse". I completely agree with the SOAD vibes!

@hmorg
Close enough.

Kiitos kommentista! Toivottavasti myös löylyistä tuli vielä aavistuksen purevammat!

@hmorg
Kiitos kommentista! Heilutitko vastaa kuin Luciferin miekkaa?

@artie
When it comes to comedy, the darker the better; as long as it's not done with a mean spirit (you can usually tell).

Kiitos kommenteista. 🤔

No nyt kun sanoit. Tosin en ole ikinä kuunnellut Freukkareita ja mietin, että ehken aloita nytkään.
[avatar]
Thanks so much for your feedback!

@artie
Oh that's so cool. Stingray on steroids is a great description. 👍

@artie
Oh wow, that's a really great tip, and makes a lot of sense. I've actually never heard of that bass, but it sure sounds great.
[avatar]
Däänks! You are not quite drunk enough as it turns out I used a healthy amount of aqueduct vibrato in my guitar!
[avatar]
Yeah, it was October when I was there, but still was pretty amazing. I think i took about 100 pictures of doors, because there was so much amazing history and architecture.

Loving all the bass goodness here. Had fun with the diversion in the FAWM thread too, haha. I just loved Finland when I spent the week there. Most of it was work (in Helsinki) but we did get around a little and took a day in Estonia. I really want to get back there someday. Funny thing was that on the last day I was there, it turned out The Cure's opening night its European tour was happening, so I went to that, which was pretty awesome. :)

Thank you for your gorgeous comment on Family Tree!
[avatar]
Thanks for the kind words. That's great! If the restaurant has youtube maybe ask them if they want to clip a bit for "shorts" video of their yum yums! :) if they do let me know on the youtube song page. I'd love to see it.

@kajati
Yeah man, me & matt,

Thank you so much for your comment on „Return of the sun god“ :) I’m happy you enjoyed listening!

@nadine
Thanks for your comment on "Right side of the road". I really like your image of bubblegum commercial. The song is part of a morph challenge; you should check that out it's great fun to hear how the song evolves by changing melodies, styles and lyrics. Happy to hear that you got another computer to work with!

Loved your comment on The Movie In My Mind and how you said the people made it sound easy. That's exactly how I felt when I sent my lyrics to David Taro and Kate Stanton and they came back with this!
Thanks again!

@arkka
Haha 😄

@nadine
Thank you! I didn't practise the song, cause I got no aims to record it for real. I recorded this rougly half an hour after deciding for some chords... When putting into my DAW I realised that I have a time signature change. For me it's been a lyric writing exersize.
[avatar]
Howdy! Love your first title. I'm off to listen to it now but just wanted to say hello first. Looking forward to hearing your tracks this year!

@nadine
Thanks for your comment. You're right, I HAD to do this!
[avatar]
Thanks Seppo :)
[avatar]
hey seppo. Welcome back to you too. Not quite ready for FAWM, but I'll try...

Looking forward to hearing some bass awesomeness from you.
[avatar]
Probably more Hesburger and less sounds this year.
[avatar]
Hi Seppo!! Last year we brainstormed doing a bass-heavy song for low end with some high vocal for contrast~!! I hope we can find some time to make it happen. Happy FAWM!
[avatar]
Hey, Great to see you! Thank you, and I‘m looking forward to hearing more of your bass (and other stuff) as well this year. I like what you wrote above :D

@nadine
Welcome back 🤗
