I think the one that will be universally fun for kids and adults alike is The Belmont Goats (about the hen they adopted): https://write.fawm.org/songs/18815

Although just for personal fun-to-vamp is "i'm the cat curiosity killed" collaboration with @jacobeverettwallace https://write.fawm.org/songs/22150

That would have to be For Sundown https://write.fawm.org/songs/11695

Probably this is my best produced song. It sure helped that it had @zecoop drums on it. It might be my favorite, but I have yet to go back and listen everything I did so I don't know.

Ima hafta say Ring Around Uranus a'cause it is so informative and relevant what with that new space telescope!

It’s too hard to pick one favorite! They’re so different (and I wrote so many)!

Ok, here’s a few. I gave them a one-word tag, so you can pick the one that suits your mood. I am working on making sure I return comments, so if you listen to more than one, I’ll do the same for you.

Rockin’: Maelstrom Music https://write.fawm.org/songs/16416

Instrumental: Sunrise Meditation https://write.fawm.org/songs/19082

Heartwarming: Dun an Doras! https://write.fawm.org/songs/20133

Queer: Green Boots https://write.fawm.org/songs/21616

Silly: Lament for Unpopped Popcorn https://write.fawm.org/songs/14464

I will also recommend my partner’s one song this year: Size Eleven Delights by @MystiqueMuse https://write.fawm.org/songs/24672

We already have this thread https://write.fawm.org/forums/1245, but I guess "best" and "favorite" aren't necessarily the same thing.

@rowanb
My favourite piece was ‘The Smell of Roses’ by @musicsongwriter. I liked it so much that I wrote some lyrics for it

I put my best in the other thread, so I'll put my favorite here 😉
"Parallax" - https://write.fawm.org/songs/17345
This song is probably my most successful in terms of hitting the target I aimed for, while still having some elements to it that I could surprise myself with. And I just love the vibe!

Comedy songs come easy for me. This track about familial alcoholism came much harder. (TW)

I’m feeling really proud of the #pinkcollab I did with @humantornado https://write.fawm.org/songs/21862

Here’s mine: it’s a retelling of Gordon Lightfoot’s “Sundown” from the perspective of his muse, who my entire album was about. https://write.fawm.org/songs/15989

I always love when my dad and I get to collaborate, and this year might be my favorite yet: https://write.fawm.org/songs/24045

I'm now wondering if the one I squeaked in at the very end (to which I just added a demo) might be my favorite! It will probably change tomorrow.

Here's my fave. Another song for Deez, who I missed so much this month. I hope he's in a great musical place.
Feel free to go straight to youtube, so the comment remains after fawm is scrubbed in a few weeks, unless you're working on your century club numbers and then still, please, copy paste to the YT page. Hugs <3WK!

I am so grateful for finishing my second FAWM (7 years apart). I had to crank out 4 songs on the last night but did it. Here is my favorite, but I ended up with 5 or 6 keepers. Here was my favorite:
https://write.fawm.org/songs/19066

I just loved how catchy and melodic this was. I really wrote better melodies this year and I had started using Logic which made my production faster.

Hm, ok, I posted one in the other thread, but here's something else:

@paulvt
I go back and forth on this, but my current fave is probably this one, an atmospheric synth-pop lope and character study (lyrics by @cicpisces) https://write.fawm.org/songs/13159. Most of the track is actually loops that I compiled, although I played the melodica solos.

Is it wrong that I'm poking at this just to see what I missed?

I don't have a favorite. I wanted one, but I'm just.. not someone who normally takes favorites. So let instead offer up my lame excuse of "I like this" and show this song here, because the lyrics are so beautiful.

Like some people above, I have a hard time picking a "favorite;" there are some that certainly not it, but I could probably pick any of 7-8 of my out put this year that I think I like most in some particular way (but that fails in other ways too).

So instead I'm going to pick "Stomp and Splash," the song that I most wish were performed better than it is, and where I most wish I could at least somewhat sing. I'm not sure it's my "favorite," but its where I feel my limitations most strongly, and maybe my wishing I could perform it better is one definition of favorite.

The Good Enough Gospel is an anthem of Anti-Perfectionism which is what FAWM itself is for me.
https://write.fawm.org/songs/23947
@abudabard12514 did the music

It's one of my many favorite collaborations.

Well done to all x

Something Vile Instead with lyrics from the fabulous Stephen Wordsmith is my fave of my creation this year. Just so pleased with the electric piano, the vocal, the guitar riff, the whole vibe. It feels authentic and genuine and makes me so wistfully happy.

My favorite song of all of FAWM is this one from Tim Wille called "Vincent (Capable of Love)" and I must admit I sing it to myself anytime and all the time and it fills me with joy.

For me it's a tie between: https://write.fawm.org/songs/20773 and this one: https://write.fawm.org/songs/15482 both compilations are top of the pops!

If you only listen to one of my songs, I'd say listen to this one:

@max
Happy to say https://write.fawm.org/songs/11941 is a keeper. Played it live twice last week on different stages and it works.

I finished this with vocals after fawm, but as a drummer, not playing other instruments, I'm proud of how this all came together. There's a few other instrumental versions on my fawm page, but this is the final version
