As you may know, this year is the 20th anniversary of both Transatlanticism and Give Up, and I'm arranging a pair of tribute albums to mark the occasion! Here's the details:

11 musicians/groups
2 tracks each, one from each album
2 entire cover albums!
To be released on June 14th 2023 - the midpoint between each album's individual 20th birthday.

"11 artists will record or produce one track each from both albums, resulting in a variety of genres and styles within each tribute but maintaining a consistency across the pairing.
As Give Up only features 10 tracks to Transatlanticism's 11, we have decided to also include Dntel's (This Is) The Dream of Evan and Chan, the song which led to the birth of the Postal Service as a project."

Here's the list of taken and available tracks - let me know if you're interested in jumping on board! The plan is to let people donate if they want to when downloading it, but I can't promise this project will pay, as much as I'd love it to.

I'm attracted to Lightness and We Will Become Silhouettes but I won't be able to work on this until the middle of May most likely, or at least after graduation on the 12th. Is there a non-Fawm contact?

My idea that anyone is welcome to steal: do the DCFC tracks in the style of the Postal Service and vice versa.

Such a cool idea. I listened to "Give Up" for months in row (especially "This place is a prison" still makes me chuckle). I can't participate cause I'm loaded with work and not the best instrumentalist, but I am very curious to hear the finished albums. Good luck! Will you post the link into the Facebook group?

OK as well as "The Sound of Settling" we would really like to have a go at "Nothing Better" but that would require somebody volunteering to do the female half of the duet. Any takers?
