@mahtowin I had to be sparse with words since there is only so many characters allowed in a post.... This is a challenge I have been posting for a few years now and people keep asking me to repost. I have added new paint colors (all real color titles). Read through them and see if they take you somewhere. Maybe as a title, a descriptor or maybe a story will evolve. They are here to spark your imagination and help you get to your next song. You might even find that a few of them work together. If one of these inspires you, come back in and post a link to your song and tell us which paint color/colors inspired your song and tag it #paintcardchallenge Hope this helps!!

Last year this challenge inspired me to visualize a scene that I tried to portray in music. I was really happy with that piece. I will definitely take this challenge again this year. Thanks Tammy!

Well, @scruffyblues just put 21 of the paint card colors into ONE SONG!!! SERIOUSLY!! Of course, no one has to do that, but she just blew this one out of the water...I urge anyone to take a listen, it is brilliant!!! So now we all know that choosing only ONE paintcard is way easy!!!

This reminds me of a songwriting challenge at the open mic Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham, MA years ago, where we were all given a list of 31 random adjective/noun pairs and asked to write a song using one or more of the pairs. It was great fun! And yes, there was one person who wrote a song that used all 31 (and no, it wasn't me).
