Yooooooooo, this is straight fire wth?? You shaking the rust off, is literally better than anything I could ever come up with lmao. I'm gonna be bangin this for a bit not gonna lie. :'D

I'd say you figured it out. Pfft. Another one that came up in the car, thought it was Grimes at first but it's even better. I've listened to this several times and still can't get enough of it. Way to leave us wanting more.

Your vocal samples are always on point and the layers of samples in this one is next level. Great groove, and I enjoy how there are a bunch of other things sneaking in behind that massive beat but they never steal the stage from the vocals.

Spine-chilling stuff man! Really digging it!

Enjoyed this one a lot!

@beacon
Damn fine here. A cosmic aural trip for me this evening. Enjoyed it.

@sci
what rust? ;)
[avatar]
Very cool! Great texture.
[avatar]
It makes me think about a mix between Kanye West and Timbaland texture-wise and musically-wise !
Very percussive, but with a soft touch with the vocal samples

I dig it a lot πŸ˜€

Haha, classic splitty, sounding tight as always! I find it really fun how you mix in modern pop techniques to 80’s-esque arrangements. Literally timeless!

@cts
I'm going to lean with the consensus here and question the rust factor. Now I do get it - you may not be as "tight" because you haven't touched your gear in a hot minute, but I gotta tell ya, you're giving us a pretty cool introduction that doesn't merit the gas face. Believe that!

@oddbod
Banging beat. The pitch-shifted vocal stuff is cool too.

@atam94
This is seriously so good. You're a natural at making all the elements blend together flawlessly. Happy FAWM!

TOO DEF! Love them crunchy beats shaking off the shackles! A great beat to wake to - straight outta bed. Great blend of vocals and effects - oldschool and modern - great start!
[avatar]
Love the drum sound. Cool vocals - that high pitch-shifted vocal is giving me Grimes vibes works well in contrast with the male vocal. Nice to hear something new from you.

Cool track! I love the vocal bits here, sounds great. As always, lots of interesting bits throughout. It starts one way and over 2 minutes it goes somewhere else as more is added, really great!

And just like that I’m reminded that my sample game is trash af!!!!! This is so good. It fills me with the bittersweet high energy borderline pessimism that is my life blood. You’re a true talent. Every bit of this is speaking to me

@aeye
Rusty nothing. This sounds great. Snappy drums, with a little bit of "dust" on the top end. Sounds great. Good use of the vox effects in here with the reverb. It's kinda Rnb/hip-hop but also has that modern EDM sound to it. Really really good.
[avatar]
Nice one, you must have WD-40 as part of your nightly routine if that's the rusty version.
[avatar]
What rust? The rust never stood a chance. Love the sample, love the subtle touches in the d&b and things you do, just all comes together so well. The tape stops make for a super effective drop and bookend it all like a dream, man. Really, love this.
[avatar]
SLaps out the gate!!! Really diggin the vocal samples and chops. You have a really great ear for it man. Digging this jam splitty!
[avatar]
@beacon
Yes, this will do quite nicely, thank you. What I didn't know I needed. Keep it going!
[avatar]
I kept waiting for the rapper to burst in and drop some rhymes on top of the classic hip-hop feel to the music!
[avatar]
Splitty Splitty Boom Boom!!! Been waiting in anticipation for this to shake the rust off of my listening brain...That is what you were referring to isn't it? Anyhow, it's worked...Rust be gone...Love the ending.

@djtjb
Rust pfft. Well if there is some, I sure don't hear it. I was here for it from the first second that vocal sample comes in. Love the arena sound of the drums. That bass is hitting in all the right spots
[avatar]
That beat, tho... I want to hear a British hip hop artist over this rapping about his insecurities or something. Enjoyed this!

@gm7
The dust is off ! This is cool!
