Chapter 2: Chewbacca, The Tennis Star

A car chase through the city seems almost commonplace for superstar detectives like Jelly and Double. But finding the body of tennis star, Stefan Bloch, in the back seat of Hammersmith’s car isn’t. Especially when Bloch looks like a friggin Sasquatch, ape-like hair from head to toe. Jelly and Double both comment to the other detectives on scene about how odd the hair growth on Stefan is. They finish investigating the scene and decide to end the night on a positive note with a stop at Benito’s Burritos. While chowing down the commotion coming from a TV mounted in the corner grabs their attention….....

Moody and tense. I love reading the story in your liner notes. There's so much story in this music

I love the way the man boom bap enters to stomp on the lighter opening beat. The low strummy rhythm and developing toms at 2mins also great. Your cinematic scene setting is awesome.

I really dig this! The low strings and brass really add to the ominous feel and this beat is sick! Well done!

Yay to old school beats! This is a nice soundtrack to the upcoming book/film. Dig it.

That was a fabulous ride.

Great mix of sounds, very cool drums with the brass and that diner and investigation imagery goes well with this as the camera would pan over the events.

Time to dig Chapter 2! That's some awesome percussion, and then the layers on top - intense. If I was standing, I'd be doing this weird monster dance I like to do.

@chroes
Yeah to that intro! 60s pulp movie tension galore! Bass drum hits all the right spots in the mix, and the eerie pad was floating so nicely above everything. Cinematic brass on top is just 😗👌

Ooh! Kinda spooky and ominous! Well done!

oooo so cool drums! love the vibe in this; that break in the middle and the buildup is soo nice

this dark feeling gripped me....and I'm ready to start the car and drive. feeling this.

Great ominous feel. I enjoy the feeling of expectation cast in the intro, and then the consistent build-up and the sense of "opening". Powerful without being heavy, thanks to perfect use of tension/release. Very well done.

@esc4p3
The word cinematic has already been used a lot, but yeah, cinematic 😎

Keep them coming, can't wait for the next instalment

This is dark as hell and I'm definitely here for it! The mix is very good. And the atmosphere is absolutely cinematic. The addition of those toms brings it to another level. Hell yeah, this is a banger.

Love the boomy, airy kick and that old school snare.
Your liner is great, truly the track and the story intro go so well together - I can see the scenes. The music is so friggin banging but mid-tempo grooving at the same time; also you got the perfect dash of suspense and intrigue and mystery.
Ya'll really do this cinematic stuff so expertly - but the music isn't JUST cinematic, its totally something a person would just wanna listen to for vibing.
Always love the sounds you two use to make the final results.
This is gonna be a fun journey with Jelly and Double. (love the names, by the way)

A different kind of tension in this one - there's a heightened sense of mystery. The addition at the one-minute mark made the hairs on the nape of my neck stand up, and gave the sense of something deep and inscrutable - there's something to be unravelled, but not for some time. Perhaps I can be the one to unravel it...

Catchy title and the beats carry that through. Great liner notes and I feel more epic music coming on!
