Ramping it up!

Inspired by seeing a fellow autistic's youtube video about uneven productivity and need for complete rest after a period of hyperfocus which causes overwhelm. I identified with it, particularly so in the circumstances. Feeling a little bit like that after one day on the FAWM site and recording songs. I felt it ramping up. Which was where Evel Knievel came in!
I also thought I might as well add a song to the site with a mention of other bodily functions besides the songs about poop!

Lyrics

Ramping it up! Ramping it up!
Ramping it up like Evel Knievel!
Bury all my needs:
Gotta make the leap now!

Silence and rest.
Absolute quiet from the crowd please.

Ramping it up! Ramping it up!
Ramping it up like Evel Knievel!
Bury all my needs:
I don't need a wee now!

Make the leap or fail, and find out I do, ow!

The one take acapella demo is a bit raw compared to the wild dreams, room for improvement.

Aw yes! Yes, thanks everyone! *grins* More hard-rock guitars, punk, folk/pop punk with cowbell percussion, horns and other random noisemakers!! A skiffle version maybe? Or shades of Catatonia? But anyway, more produced than I can manage in any direction! Anyone volunteering!? #needs_collab #needs_music #needs_guitar #needs_cowbells #needs_vocals #needs_punk_vocals
@nadine @sheilerk You grew up in his town! That's so cool and added sunshine-cred to the compliments! @bradbrubaker @popmythology @slightlydrunk

@nadine
Evil Knievel came unexpected but I get the vibe! Should be a two minute punk rock tune. Super fast!

I grew up in the town Evil Knievel came from, a home town hero of sorts, who was purported to have broken every bone in his body at least once. This definitely resonates with me. As does the idea of having to ramp up to accomplish any task, then the need to rest/withdraw afterwards. Well written!

I like how it starts like a huge stadium scene to the inner-life of the daredevil ("Don't need a wee now!") The failure at the end is comical, which is also relatable.

Haha, as a hardcore introvert who gets bursts of inspiration, reaches too far, and then blows a fuse and runs away to hide, I feel this song so much. I imagine this being half-sung/half-yelled to a loud clamor of trumpets, drums, cymbals, and cowbells ("more cowbell!") and then abruptly transitioning to a new age-style synth for the silence and rest bridge... ah... so nice... and THEN GOING CRAZY AGAIN WITH THE COWBELL!!!

To preserve my forum comment:
I really like "Ramping it up!", it invokes a feeling of restlessness. Could very well imagine it with some heavy rock guitars.
