Journey of Reverie

Challenge: Melodic Leap!

Liner Notes

Thanks to @charliecheney for the song naming help. Naming songs is hard work, and he came through when times were tough.

Of course I had to do a sort of in depth song for my first one. I feel like it turned out, but only time will tell. Can't remember where the idea from this even came from. I went through like five or six general moods of lacking inspiration before this one finally popped out.

A lot of twisting and turning love it 😍

Oh, this is really cool. Interplay of different pieces going in so many interesting directions, returning to places that give it all a unified feeling, building up in a very satisfying way. Nicely done!

Nothing like an upright bass! Dynamic dynamics! Feels more Greek than Spanish to me. Definitely could hear a Bouzouki or mandolin in the mix or sitar! Then again there is a pushing and pulling thing going on with the guitars as it is that is great as it is.

Very nice and it has a gentle vibe and I really like the Lead Guitar which almost has a Flamenco feel to it.
Thanks for taking me on a lovely aural Journey!

Totally dig this, I think we've been in the same places before. Will there be a second movement? That would be nice.

That was fascinating, I feel like I've just had an aural feast. Lots of interesting variation to enjoy!

I can always hear "Andrew" in there (this is a good thing), but it's always interesting to hear which modes you'll pair together and what sections lead into what new beginnings. Both parts of the title definitely come through!

I loved the change up in this. This was just a really awesome listen. Great evolution of the track.

Definitely melodic leap! Really like the chromatic shift. Solo has a Clapton-esque feel to it. And then some Spanish style! Will listen again now.
