Stoked to be back for another FAWM, the time sure did roll around quickly.

Open and available for collabs of any kind.

He/him, Jeff, or tjeff all cool.

I've always loved singing but frustrated at how quickly my voice tires while singing (and speaking). Found out that I have vocal dysphonia, with a lot of excess tension in the muscles surrounding the vocal chords and in my tongue and jaw. Working on that with a vocal therapist and seeing some progress.

I have 2 albums of material written during FAWM and 50/90 that are out there on all streaming platforms - "Better Late Than Never" and "34." Also a single release with John Nicholson that I'm proud of.

Gear list: Taylor D4 and Guild D-25 dreadnoughts, Cordoba Acoustic Mini-Bass MH-E, Korg D1 piano (w/Spectrasonic Keyscape piano VST), AT2020 & AT2021 condenser mics, Cubase Artist on a Dell laptop.

OMG Jeff you're so right! My rainbow tune definitely has an ABBA vibe to it. Now that you mention it, I went back and was like...yep!!! They were up for a nostalgia Grammy this year. Must have entered the plagiaristic caverns of my subconscious!😄 Thank you for stopping by and glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks for checking out "Palette" I'm glad you liked it!

The percussion in "Rainbow Rising" was from a sample pack by Mode Audio called Fresh Air. There's a free "taster" pack on their site.

The sample is "HumbleForest_70_Am_Mallets02"

Thanks for your comment on "Backwards". I'm glad you enjoyed! But I'm sorry to tell you that the organ is just a placeholder for the vocals. I needed an instrument with a long sustainto demonstrate. We dig prog, let's see what the band will do after FAWM. It will take some months!

Hi Jeff, that's funny to think we were both in Austin in the mid-80's. And to think I made my way to Austin via Oklahoma... but that's another story for another time...
Cheers,
John

Jeff, I so appreciate your comments on Something for Nothing. I was very pleased with how Ed interpreted the lyrics and came up with the perfect match of music and vocals for the vibe I had in mind. It was a very easy collab and I'm so glad you liked the result. Thank you.

Jeff - I would absolutely love to have you do a version of It’s All Okay. Thank you. I was so surprised that the pond in Central Park really was iced over last Sunday. The one that the boat house is on, where the row boats and gondolas are in the summer. So much fun to have a snapshot to stick into a skirmish song. Enjoy your visitors. Never any hurry on my part.

Hi! I'm listed as #3 following you on the Harmony Challenge. I'm told that you will send me the file after you have done your part. I've never done a challenge before and am excited to try!

@mikeb
Thanks for the listen and comment on 'Ghosts of Copper Mountain'!

thanks for your comments on hungary and poland. im working on an album of songs that attempt to paint a picture of the state of the world today by evoking moments in history that seem to be repeating themselves in various disguises. not all the songs have explicit historical references, but the resultant fresco should cohere into something relevant to the issues facing us today. at least that is my ambition this time around. and i have just a few more songs to make it complete.

Thanks Jeff! Val made my Holey Moley story so funny!

Hi! I sent a group email about the harmony challenge with the lyrics included the other day--let me know if you didn't get it! I'll be sending my melody track to @tan482 tomorrow so we can get the ball rolling!

Thanks friend :) That "whoop" I heard in my head, but couldn't decide how to create it. I used my voice and played with the pitch.

Thanks, Jeff! Looking forward to doing the Harmony Singers Challenge with you this time around!

Hi Jeff. I feel you on the tight muscles thing. I don't think I have quite the same, but definitely some throat tightness affecting the singing this year. Hope the vocal therapist helps you (and that we both make it through the month!)...

Happy FAWM to you!!
