Invincible
Skirmish: The Villain's Lament (@tarahenton)Liner Notes
Lyrics
I’m here within this prison cell Condemned into a private hell
But there’s no cell that can hold me I will escape I will be free
Soon I will be invincible
A trivial loss I will forget There is nothing that I regret
No hero born who wears a cape can stop my certain sure escape
I know my shape - invincible
I will not cry alas alack I will ignore this small setback
And though I stare at these four walls I’ll soon escape these prison halls
My glory calls- invincible
I and my glory soon will meet I suffer temp’rory defeat
I lust for power, lust for fame I have nobody else to blame
I feel no shame- invincible

I'm loving the juxtaposition of the naturally sunny sound of the uke with the subject matter. Like the defiance too. Some super rhymes here. Excellent work! 😃

The villain was almost too confident to be lamenting! But I love the imagery and his tenacity. And you reminded me that I'm missing #fuc!

Great take on the prompt. Love the internal rhymes. And a Uke song for Play your ukulele day.

A villain chasing invincibility sounds dangerous. Good writing and nice use of a diminished chord (?) as a part of the tune structure!

This is a very cool song. I see it was written for a skirmish, and I wasn't part of that. I clicked on the song because I was going to write a song under this title this FAWM and wanted to hear another take on it. It's a great use of the lyrics to characterize the villainous narrator. Also a nice performance. I enjoyed it.
