Liner Notes

This is based on an idea I came up with on the ukulele (after spending an extended amount of time teaching ukulele), and I added lyrics to it today. I usually write about myself, but given the state of affairs in the United States, I will likely be writing more songs about the Orange Man’s circus.

I don’t have a title for this song yet, so I welcome suggestions!

Lyrics

[Verse 1]
We give people power they don’t deserve
They blame and deceive but they don’t earn
Our respect

Welcome to the downfall of the empire
While half the globe is still on fire
It ain’t pretend

[Chorus 1]
There’s still money to be made right now
Sell your stock before it crashes down

[Verse 2]
It’s hard but there’s charm in the struggle
Why just live inside a bubble
Elitist

You and your friends have all the wealth
While the rest of us exist in a living hell
Can’t believe it

[Chorus 2]
There’s still money to be made right now
Don’t worry about the flames all around
There’s oil in the caves beneath the ground
While the average working man is gagged and bound
