February's All Right (the Song)

Liner Notes
If this song title looks similar to yesterday's song, that's because it's the same song but, now, it's a new and improved song with actual lyrics. Which makes it feel more like a song, if you're into lyrics that is.
Yesterday I was feeling a little unsure about what to write about so I just produced a simple instrumental track with an acoustic guitar and bass, just to make some some pleasant sounding mellow music, just trying to chill.
Today I listened to it and thought more about lyrics, tonight I added another acoustic guitar track to flesh it out a bit, then tried an experimental improv track to see what lyrics jump out of nowhere, used a couple things but pretty much just wrote it all out and did a couple more vocal takes, settling on the second take as good for now.

Lyrics
Those holidays left you in a daze
Between those canyons of blue and gray
It left you lost in a purple haze
Where lately things don’t seem the same
January’s usually full of hope
Where the future shines so bright
But if you find that you can’t cope
At least February’s all right
The echo of footsteps fade out in the street,
Chasing circumstances that never meet,
You’re holding on to a memory’s flame,
But nothing feels like it did again
January’s full of dreams alight,
With promises that softly glow,
But when the spark begins to fight,
At least February lets you go
The stars seem distant, so cold up in the air,
You reach for something you can’t regain,
Like a song that you can’t quite repair,
Fading echoes of a sweet refrain
January whispers sweet and clear,
A new beginning, bold and bright,
But when the spark fades into fear,
At least February feels just right
