On the Verge of Falling
by @arkka
Liner Notes
Just an attempt to jam out something fast. Sometimes I do this thing where I couple a minor tonic chord with basically any chord, diatonic or not, and then add a note that's a tritone away from the tonic to it (kind of like a leading tone for the 5th).

Lovely piece, moody, slightly dark, but with a reassuring warmth at the same time, like cosy moodiness :) Really like it, lovely chord changes and melodies on those changes :)

This is some haunting, vibey stuff. Those moments of dissonance that crunch and then resolve. You never really know where it’s going next… but the repeated return to the minor chord keeps you somehow tethered and yet also floating in this eerie universe you’ve created.

utterly beautiful. we just lost david lynch :::: is this a tribute? of course, badalamenti, but little wisps of frisell and ribot emerge out of the smoky shadows. this deserves way more listens.

I see you are still on it😉 Not as hard rocking like I remember. But still, a very cool number! Whar are you doing at 1:30? I thought my blood pressure is dropping😂

I sort of get the theory behind this, but should I try to put it into practice, I would certainly fail. 😅
Anyway, from what I feel and hear, that's awesome. I'm a sucker for dissonance, so this track fills me with rapture. It does sound like trying to keep one's balance -- and the reversed (?) stuff starting at 1:37 sounds like a vertigo.
Brilliant work.
