Thorin Oakenshield

Skirmish: Mine the Poets (@dudachris)Liner Notes
@dudachris had a skirmish based around poems, but knowing how litigious the #Tolkien estate is, I figured it would be safer to write a whole new song rather than setting a poem (which I did anyway, but won't post here).

Lyrics
The exiles heart, is always cold,
Yearning for the home of old,
No words can sooth, the empty soul,
When life is but, a long burnt coal.
Chorus:
Old Bones, Old Bones,
Old Bones under the mountain,
Call me home.
The towers rising in the deep,
Sing to me in fretful sleep,
The glitter of the gold so bright,
Calls to me from in the night.
The dragon to the mountain came,
At Erebor were many slain,
Sons of Durin walked alone,
What is a king without a throne,
The king under the mountain slain,
At Moria by the beggar’s bane,
Azog’s bag of coins for Thror,
Trigger for nine years of war.
But now a thief has come to light,
Hope returns for jewels bright,
An oakenshield I’ll wield no more,
With Durin’s folk to throne restored,
