Lyrics

In a flash
Too fast to react
Was it an accident?

Bared down on
all teeth gnash
Our heads swivel
A bang and a crash

A bursting bubble
round your heart
crashed out
The world shrinks
down
Wheels flipped up and
Twisted steel that wraps around
Organic parts
And then it's dark
And then it’s dark
The raindrops fall
around your car
And down upon
your lidded eyes
Which shudder as you start

Plans made–but tentatively
state of affairs: entropy
A rarity to break free
Will the self and target ever meet

Too sentimental to go on
It's right here in my arms
I have you here but not safe from
a bolt thrown down from high above
don’t care if or how
Just wonder when and just how long it is
We are granted this existence
And protection from Olympus

Love the twists and turns to the groove and structure...dark New Wave but joyously dark...the contrast really plays out well here. Brilliant track!

I never thought a song with such a dark lyric could be so danceable! This is a fantastic juxtaposition.

What a soundscape. Effervescent and alienesque, and never quite content to be predictable. Completely new to me, but effortless to get on board. And a good accompaniment to the twisted, tactile lyrics and a vocal which manages to be deadpan and melodramatic at the same time, which is quite something.

Love the descriptive lyrics. Pretty unique. Enjoyable creative. Great subject for a song. Loved the tone of the vocal and vibe of the song. Nice work.

Love all the layers! Simultaneously very dark and New Wave at the same time. There's a whole bunch of influences that I can feel but can't articulate because you mash 'em all into a stew so eloquently. Love that descending synth line before the chorus.

The inspiration calls to mind the flashing thoughts of a mind that's preparing for a head-on collision. You put that into sound superbly! Thanks again for your visions. You honestly need way more comments, man.

Really nice guitars and arrangement in general. What I like most about this tune is how the melody feels extended and interesting and doesn't end or loop quite when you thin it should. Great use of the 'slow triplet'.
