Lyrics
St. Augustine
words and music by Daniel Simons
There is a lady living by the sea and she keeps calling me.
Of all the ladies in this great country, she's the queen.
She's St. Augustine.
She's St. Augustine.
So, if you're passing through the Lion's Gate, don't be late,
but it's worth the wait.
And, if you make it to step 219, enjoy the scene.
It's St. Augustine.
It's St. Augustine.
Castillo de San Marcos is the Fort, your first resort, it protects the port.
The City Gates lead you to St. George Street where we can meet in St. Augustine.
In St. Augustine.

Intriguing, unique melodies as always Daniel (hey, a fellow Daniel!). I think the idea of an ode to a city feels very Beach Boys, as well as tones/harmonies etc. Love the specificity of the lyrics, feels like a heartfelt tribute to a place.

great melancholic vibe, somehow surfer rock and outsider songwriter or the perfect inbetween. Vocal doubling sounds great!
