Liner Notes
Wrote this song after finding a letter I'd written, but never sent. Might make it longer and add another verse or two at some other point, but I'm leaving it here for now.

Lyrics
These days I'm writing letters to myself,
Full of ardent passion and hopeless romance,
Last time I put pen to paper, things just went awry,
And I hate to waste the resources but still I'd like to try.
The US Postal Service, they ain't gonna rest,
Until each letter's been put through their test,
Trials and tribulations on the road ahead,
Making sure each missive is gonna get read.
With every postcard I'm sending on home,
My life written out in untidy, tiny scrawl,
A message to my parents that I am still alive,
And though the world's against me, I've managed to survive.
The US Postal Service, they ain't gonna rest,
Until each letter is put through their test,
Trials and tribulations on the road ahead,
Making sure each missive is gonna get read.
And there the post truck goes,
With each letter, I wish I'd sent,
Each package I'd filled with hope,
The future it'd represent.
