the White House is drunk with unchecked perceived power
who knows which cherished rights will next be devoured

my limited free time outside is just constantly rained out
every one of my friends is facing some kind of breakdown

my middle-aged body has failures troubling
with each new crisis arising, my resistance is crumbling
