Liner Notes

I've been trying to make friends with #polychords. This has a couple that consist of major triads a major 7th apart (so semitone apart if you drop the higher one an octave). And then in the melody, I just noodle notes from both of them kind of randomly honestly. It's interesting because it does create ambiguity in that sometimes it's difficult to even hear whether the sonority is major or minor. Makes you play weird too because of the shapes it creates on the fretboard; you can hear I'm not used to these patterns 😅

Any tips on using polychords are welcome! What a strange realm.

Ah, I've tortured myself with major 7th! (Because I love the major/minor ambiguity). I wouldn't try that on the guitar though. 😅
This is a great track, and no, I can't hear you're not used to these patterns (really).
I enjoy very much the atmosphere you've created here, with a strong expectation, but enough resolution all the way to remain below the "spooky threshold", if you see what I mean.
I don't know why, but I'm thinking about Dune (Villeneuve).

Oh wow. That's like another step up beyond what I've done. Furthest I've got was CEG-GBD sorta thing. Nice work; gives it a kinda eastern vibe to my untrained ears.

I have to confess I don't even know what polychords are, but I really like the effect! I feel like I have been on a journey to some distant mystical land where there is so much to discover. Beautiful composition and guitar work! Thank you for this.
