In These Troubled Times

Liner Notes
Though I'm trying to avoid writing songs like this, I'm just writing what I know right now.
Wrote and recorded this one from scratch today, probably took a couple hours. Messed up the chord pattern on the basic tracks but I didn't want to start over so I just went with it.

Lyrics
In these troubled times
It’s so easy to lose your mind
When more than half your herd
Have lost their way
They’ve been played like a fiddle
While the forests burn
The cyclones churn
Losing more than they can earn
Send these troubled times
Send these troubled times away
Send these troubled times
Send these troubled times away
In this reverse passion play
The malice builds day by day
The cries go so unheard
Hope has lost its way
Can’t unleash those I told you so’s
To the I don’t care’s
To the they wouldn’t dare’s
To the clueless and the cruel
Send these troubled times
Send these troubled times away
Send these troubled times
Send these troubled times away
In this jilted land
It’s so hard to understand
Why more than half the herd
Looked the other way
They’ve been hoodwinked by a grifter
Bamboozled and beguiled
All by a man child
Romulus Disgustus is his name
Send these troubled times
Send these troubled times away
Send these troubled times
Send these troubled times away

Why more than half the herd
Looked the other way.” That line there is what I been grappling with since November. But I love the sound of this. You got a full band going here and it’s quite lush. Beautiful sound for some troubled times indeed. Great work Joe
Such a relatable song. It’s difficult to fathom how people allow for this to happen…more than half the herd.
I love your song delivery. It’s so warm and natural, melancholy but soothing too.
And a chorus for the masses…or the remaining herd anyway.
