Sweet Dreams and All Good Things

Liner Notes
This is dedicated to a man who is very dear to me. He has heard these sentiments often, almost every time his anxiety is too much for sleep, but when certain phrases become part of your speech patterns, you run with them.
This one reenforced a lesson I learned last year - out of context, all song lyrics sound super cheesy, and fighting that is futile. It also was a lesson in "sometimes, things are just gonna scan to Christmas carols, and you have to stop fighting that too". As such, no particular melody in mind, but here's what I got.
Lyrics
The world is casting shadows on the ending of your day
But just as long as you believe, you’ll always find your way
I wish you lunar lullabies, from silent strong bat wings
To guide you and to grant you now sweet dreams and all good things
The days are long and restless, full of toil and trouble great
But listen, as the evening comes, to prayers for your fate
The breeze to blow your fears away and ease to all that stings
To sooth you and to help you find sweet dreams and all good things
Your thoughts are full of whispers that are harsh and cruel to hear
So I will seek to calm them, as the twilight draws so near
The stars to watch your sleeping mind, as dear as any king’s
To guard you and to help you hold sweet dreams and all good things
I cannot live inside your mind, to chase away the dark
I can just hope that these few words have strongly left their mark
So even for a moment, hear the truth so loud it rings
You now and always do deserve sweet dream and all good things
