Two Hands but One Heart
by @andrea
Liner Notes
I wrote this with the intention of a collab on SC. I was supposed to write something based loosely on an old German fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm called "Jorinde and Joringel". We ended up going with some other lyrics of mine, so I decided to finish it anyway for FAWM. I'm not sure it's actually "finished", but it's close.
This is meant to be a duet with the chorus sung by both the man and woman together.
Feel free to offer suggestions for improvement.
Please let me know if you would be interested in collaborating on this piece :)

Lyrics
Let’s walk through the forest
And talk of our dreams
About love beyond boundaries
Under a canopy of trees
With your hand in mine
We’ll blaze our own trail
Through warm winds that blow
And cold winter snow
Through good times and sorrow
Wherever we go
No darkness can conceal
The light in our hearts
No power too strong
That can keep us apart
No time so long to make us forget
We’re two hands, but/and one heart
Sunlight through the leaves
Cast shadows around
A flicker of panic
My heart races quicker
Wherever you are
I will never be far
Know fear can’t control
The magic of our souls
So, grip my hand tight
Everything will be alright
No darkness can conceal
The light in our hearts
No power too strong
That can keep us apart
No time so long to make us forget
We’re two hands, but one heart
I look in your eyes
As our fingers entwine
And I believe
Your love is all that I need
I look in your eyes
And I see
Eternity
No darkness can conceal
The light in our hearts
No power too strong
That can keep us apart
No time so long to make us forget
We’re two hands, but one heart
