Lyrics

People always talking bout

The way it used to be

Everybody stops and stares

No one except me

There is something happening

Infecting all their minds

Never needed anyone to tell me what is my mine

There is something wrong with them

They not know what they do

There is something happening

Don’t let it happen to you

Don’t let it happen

Don’t let them take your mind

Feeling so locked in

Don’t know where I’ve been

All these bright lights in my eyes

Toughening my grip

There is something happening

Something in the water

Wow this is powerful. As someone else said, this is Nirvana-adjacent, and you do it so well. It's weary, but also like you haven't given up and are using the last dregs of energy you have for a desperate call for help. "There is something happening. Something in the water" is so chilling as a final line.

I could listen to a whole concept album like this. Society is crumbling and you're the prophet.

There is a feeling of some slight paranoia with the music and the understated vocal delivery which heightens the atmosphere.
Like the chords sliding into the single notes towards the end too.

This is kinda like a drony nirvana type of thing, expect I can understand the words you are singing, which I appreciate. The message of "something happening" rings true to me. I definitely feel like there's something in the water or the air or something. Infecting minds.

I like this. Raw delivery. Unpretentious lyrics. Thank you.
