With the strange, unlikely recurring manifestations of the covid virus in my system, combined with the danger and unrest of a civil war in the streets surrounding my home, i will try to escape my own predictible perspectives by immersing myself in the visions of some of my favorite film makers, antonioni, bresson, bergman, bunuel, ozu, naruse, rossellini, pasolini, fellini, and mizoguchi for inspiration.i am also hoping to produce a sequel to last fawms collaborative effort, state of the heart. https://billwhite.bandcamp.com/album/state-of-the-heart if you are interested in n participating, i will supply the lyrics while you take care of the music, production, and vocals. hit me up

Email me. Jon.Lee.spradlin@gmail.com — thank you for your words. I’ve always thought that story would work as a movie. I was going in that direction the last time I fell into a manhole. I’m just now resurfacing so any thoughts/connections would be ever-appreciated
[avatar]
@billwhite51 yw, I love stuff like that. Remember the church of the sub genius? They got me into recording and mixing random bits of whatever on tape. Well, you might like this video I made with my brother!! It’s for the first FAWM song I did this year, No Bail. — that kind of thing right up my back alley. https://youtu.be/XLJjQ1pQsUQ
[avatar]
Thanks for the incredibly kind words about "Reset My Seventy". I can now check being compared to Randy Newman off my "Amazing Things I Never Thought Would Happen to Me" bucket list. I really appreciate your listening and commenting.

This—“fiction devised by the brain to protect humanity from the realization they were no better than the lower animals”. My husband often tells me we are one catastrophe away from becoming uncivilized. That we take everything for granted. First world problems, nepotism, & greed are firecracker convos. If he had it his way though, we’d be off the grid with chickens and horses. Somedays it doesn’t seem so bad…
I’m going to check out the author you mentioned. Last summer, I delved into the Elvis material you recommended on 50/90. I keep a close eye on Neuralink and AI; it’s fascinating to me.
[avatar]
“I foresee a dystopian future in which all transactions are made through amazon, netflix, and spotify”
Yes, I think you’re right. Next will be mostly AI-created music and art as well? Lacking the soul and imperfections we’re all drawn to in humanity. I wonder if creators are supposed to embrace progress like we always have in the past, or is counterculture embracing classics and holding on to what’s real? Strange…always a pleasure to pick your brain!
[avatar]
Your story reminds me of that scene in Office Space where she tells her manager, who’s forcing her to wear “flair”, to shove it!! Lol. I know exactly what you’re talking about. Pushing special CD cleaner at the checkout 250% mark up for glorified ass wipes—no thanks!! I left a good marketing job in a software corporation circa 2019 for small business. I hated the thought of being paid to lie, manipulate, & persuade the public to buy things they don’t need. Stuff. We don’t need more stuff! Stealing ideas from little companies as our own then buying them out…music business makes me just as mad.
[avatar]
Those were the days! When people valued your expertise and knowledge of musical artists before they could just find similar music online. They trusted you enough to ask -- I was just a teen but took pride in trying to find the perfect music for the listener. Sadly, we got bought out by a major multi-media company and lost our personal touch. We became bloated--selling games, merch, and even cheap instruments. The ma & pop record stores were special in the early 00s before iPod, Napster, and mp3s stole our customers away :)

VVVVVV Couldn't agree more @gm7 VVVVVV always a pleasure with you too Bill!! Take care this spring, friends. Keep writing.
[avatar]
@gm7
Thx Bill. I have worked with @McTown & @katestantonsings on a few occasions and it is always a pleasure and one of my fav parts of FAWM. Thx again for listening to Splinter
[avatar]
One of my first jobs as a teen was at a record store. "Celtic" was one of my domains and responsiblity if anyone had a question or wanted to special order (CD days). I almost always recommended Clannad, so your comment made me smile!! My friend and coworker was a GWAR nut--bald with a long red goatee--he used to rib me "go ask her she's into that Enya stuff". :) Good times!!
@wacha rocked the vibe with her song!
[avatar]
Thanks Bill! :) You always have a way with words. Appreciate your comments on "Splinter" by @mctown @gm7 and I!
[avatar]
Hey, Bill - I’ve been wanting to sit down and listen to a bunch of yours, but I like to be focused for your music, and we’ve been traveling and seeing family all week. The Dallas airport lounge turned out to be quiet this morning. I’ll get to more this week.
[avatar]
Thank you for your kind and thoughtful comments about my music. Looks like you may have actually *won* FAWM!
[avatar]
Hi Bill,
I made the changes, skipping the break, moves from the FMaj to the Dmin, I tried to load it, but sticking with the original for some reason, maybe waiting for the server to catch up. I will check again tomorrow.
Cheers Mark.
[avatar]
Hi Bill, yeah no problems with you using it, it is your song after all. I can take the bridge out, no problem, it was the hardest part of the song to figure out and didn't seem to fit that's why I tried something different. I can leave the bridge as instrumental if you like or remove altogether.
Cheers, Mark.
[avatar]
Hi Bill, I said I could hear Scott Walker in the lyrics, I didn't say I could get anywhere near sounding like Scott Walker.

Anyway, my apologies for not getting back sooner, stuff happening outside of FAWM, but that's no excuse for my tardiness really.
You've probably forgotten you even gave me a lyric to work on. I have posted the result for our listening only, just let me know if you want me to open it up for all, or scrap it. I know the site will close soon anyway, but I figure being 10 days late is better than not doing anything at all. As I say if you want to scrap it, that's not a problem.
Cheers and thanks again, Mark.
[avatar]
@gm7
Thx Bill for the kind words on Bridges. I think your tribute song for your sister..is my fav of yours for so many reasons. Just the title along ' l'll cry tomorrow' sets the entire stage for a personal and reflective tribute.
[avatar]
Thank you. ❤️
[avatar]
Thanks so much for your lovely comments. Will be listening to some of yours this month 😊
[avatar]
Thanks for weighing in on our meter maid song. It's one of my faves for FAWM 2023. Stephen's lyrics always paint such a picture for the listener, and most important to me, they sound like music when I read them. Always such an enjoyable collab, which is why we've done three of them so far.
[avatar]
Better on the Seine than inseine, as they say.
[avatar]
Thanks for the shining path info. I began wondering about my sanity and had to piece it together. The bits I knew were that I was definitely there, something big had gone down in an embassy or government building, and it was early summer or spring. Final piece was remembering that the plane I flew out on was called Maria Callas and I was humming the REM song E-bow the letter, which came out in Sept 96. So I think I must have been there around May 97, not 95 or 96 as I thought last night. Memory clearly not what it was! I guess it was the Japanese embassy siege that ended in April 97 that I was thinking of, so not a shining path thing. Was a lovely country though; I’m sad it sounds like it’s less so at the moment.
[avatar]
@jeff9
I'd love to collab with you on something like A Singer, Not A Fighter, Bill. Right up my street. Look forward to that possibility come this year's 50/90.
[avatar]
@jeff9
Much obliged, Bill, for your comments about Line In the Water. Don't know how you keep up with all the listening and commenting you seem to do on top of creating songs, but it's much appreciated, man.
[avatar]
@audrey
Thank you for listening and for the kinds words about two of my pieces. I appreciate it.
[avatar]
I get where you are coming from in your distinction, but as a great fan of Neanderthals, I am perhaps over-sensitive to the "popular" use of the term. Indeed, I feel offended on their behalf 😁. I guess I too can fall into the trap of being too thin skinned about the things I feel passionate about 😉. And that from the guy who wrote a song called: "Grow a Thicker Skin" in response to the "I'm offended" culture that has come to dominate Western society over the last decade or so.
[avatar]
Hey there @billwhite51 Thank you for listening to 'Cold Bones' I went to Ballard High School and graduated in 92. Looks like you're deeply rooted in the Seattle community too. That's awesome. FAWM is an amazing place. I'm always singing it's praises to my friends and customers. Quite possibly to their chagrin. ha ha ha.... Have an amazing 23! All the best!
[avatar]
Hey Bill, that sounds like heaven! We'd throw back a couple of pitchers, flirt with the girls a little, maybe smoke a little Mexican from back in the day when a nickel bag was one finger tall and it didn't make you crazy! You'd finish up your set and we'd hang until last call.

Thank you for the kind words you've left in my songs this year! I deeply appreciate your comments! It hasn't been my best but they'll have to do for now! Life keeps getting in the way.

And hey, you be careful down there in Peru and take good care of your sweet little family! Estrella is adorable and following in her daddy's footsteps with the music!

P.S. I'm still gonna be around most of March but just wanted to share my thoughts with you.
[avatar]
@kkd
Thanks for you kind comment on "Blink of an Eye". Yup, everything can change that quickly, so appreciate it while we can,
[avatar]
Thanks for the listen! The video was meant to be an homage to the Metropolis style hence the aesthetic.
[avatar]
@roddy
Hello, good to hear from you. Sorry about the challenges that you are facing right now. My trip to Spain involved some problems that meant I couldn't comment or post music for FAWM. I have about 48 hours left though and I'll add some things.
[avatar]
Thank you for listening to "Your Practical Magic." That's a great take on it!
[avatar]
Hi Bill..Thank you for being so supportive- I did update my last song with a demo tonight. I have Dr appointments tomorrow but maybe I can still get a few more songs done before the ...gasp! end :(
This month went by too fast.
[avatar]
Thanks for your generous assessment of "Shape of Wind" . Dragondreams is a musical maestro!. I will pass your comments on to Naomi
[avatar]
I get where you are coming from in not liking the Band in a Box backing on "Conor Kennealley's...". BiaB used to have a "cutre" style which really reproduced the feel of a Dance Band in rural Ireland; but I couldn't find it and in the time left (penultimate day and a few other songs to finish) I gerrymandered a Bluegrass Waltz style to fit the bill (though it obviously didn't fit this particular Bill 😈).

It might have worked just as a Guitar Vocal. But I was keen to give this demo a chaotic session feel.
[avatar]
Bill, I so appreciate your comments and encouragement. You are such a generous person! I'm glad you enjoyed Low Rung on a Tall Ladder.Jeff sure made it sound like I had envisioned it.
[avatar]
@jeff9
Thank you most sincerely, Bill. Your encouraging and thoughtful comments all through this FAWM have been like gold for me, as I'm sure they have for many others. You are a generous soul as well as a true artist and I look forward to digging deeper into your portfolio now that the frenzy is subsiding.
[avatar]
Thinking of doing little teasers on YT - don't want to give it all away. But people seem more interested in audio than reading... but, yeah, I do enjoy the combo... thinking of doing smaller excerpts from a whole book for 50/90... thanks again!
[avatar]
Thanks for the comment/suggestion for "French Martini" - Amazon's process is quite complex and oh my goodness, I wonder if I could actually get approval. After you suggested Smashwords, I went over there and they have quite a process, too. No music on either, I think. That's what made it fun for me, but I have to think about getting the book up in audio format, because, as you say, the music can be distracting. Much to think about. One step at a time. Whew! Thanks, again, Bill! See you in 50/90!
[avatar]
@brisk
I stuck Cross-Exchange up again earlier, but realised I lost your comment in the notes from the previous upload. Sorry to make you do it again. Like I said in the revised notes - not sure about the flute - might be straying into Ron Burgundy territory there!
[avatar]
I debated how to approach your instruction, so I want to rewatch the entire film before working on it. It'll probably be a placeholder post to complete after FAWM, though. Thank you!
[avatar]
Yeah, she started off in Seattle. Moved near Puget Sound to get away. Now she is thinking of Alaska which I selfishly hope so because I've always wanted to visit and I'll have a reason. Austin, Texas is the new music scene I'd say. Lots of blues, alt-country, indie, and tech stuff.
[avatar]
My youngest sister lives near Seattle. When we chat, she often complains of the "trust-fund" adults there. I told her that was Portland not Seattle! LOL
[avatar]
Thanks for commenting on my song "Losing Eternity".
[avatar]
My goodness! What a long list of accomplishments! Including a great Elvis story! I'm impressed. You're also probably the most prolific "song commenter" here, which is most appreciated and rather daunting!
[avatar]
Bill, your comments on Because It Ends read like a song! "The melody carries the words along like leaves in the wind." Thank you for encouraging me on my first try at this singing and composing adventure. What do you have, about 4,000+ songs by now?
[avatar]
Thanks for the kind words on Stephen and I's Moon song. That nightmare you describe really hit me in the feels - the logical, most terrible expression of what we were trying to capture. Thank you for sharing.
[avatar]
@jeff9
Thanks, Bill. Had to get some blues on the board. Chuffed to see you liked it.
[avatar]
thank you Bill.
funny you should say that. I likened the tune similarly to love was made for you and me!
[avatar]
thank you Bill. yeah..a little Dylan and a little Neil Young in there. If I got a little more nasal, I woulda nailed it. :0)
sure appreciate you dropping by.
[avatar]
Bill - your comment made me cry over my Huevos Rancheros at Noche Mexicana this morning. Thank you. I’ll get that album done. I guess these story songs are going to have to be the first one. thanks for pushing me.
[avatar]
Thanks for dropping in to comment on Squeaky. :) The only real things on that track are my voice and the bass - the rest is biab (but very tweaked and edited!).
[avatar]
I saw in your liner notes that Mizoguchi was your inspiration, but confess to being unfamiliar with his films, so I had to go with my relatively circumscribed pool of references. Either way, it absolutely was cinematic!
[avatar]
@mikeb
Thanks for the comment on 'Floating on the Seine' - yes, the lower piano register and 'dark' tag, kind of gave things away early!
[avatar]
@brisk
Yes, good call - I've retired it now, and this will give me a bit of space to play more with it. I can stick it up after the skirmishing. Cheers!
[avatar]
@brisk
Glad you liked it Bill - I think I'm going to have to fiddle with it a little bit to put myself at ease - I'll let you know when it settles. Somehow sticking it up as it is was psychologically important to enable me to get on with my Friday!

[edit: and it tickled me that it turned out to be exactly 3:30 long - the ideal song length, as I have come to believe!]
[avatar]
"if my wife could be me for a day if it would leave her liking me more or less." well that is the $60,000 question! I suggest neither one of us push it. :0)
(Only us geezers would even remember that show!)
[avatar]
Thanks for commenting on my song "Listening In".
[avatar]
Thanks for commenting on my collab song "Back Down" with Cindyrella.
[avatar]
Thanks for commenting on my collab song "Defy Gravity" with mikeb.
[avatar]
@crisp1
Bill, thank you for the many comments you have made this FAWM on my lyrics and collaborations. You always put a lot of thought into what you say and I really appreciate that. I've enjoyed a few of your collabs and will try my best to listen to more in the coming weeks. Cheers!
[avatar]
Bill, thanks for you comments on 'Worn' - much appreciated.
[avatar]
Thank you, Bill, for your supportive comment on “Lucky’s List of Rules.” It would have been so lonely without it - lol! Your comments are always appreciated!
[avatar]
Hi, Bill, I got a kick out of your suggested amendment : Never fall in love with "a girl who falls in love" with musicians. Yes, I'm sure it goes both ways! Glad you enjoyed the song.
[avatar]
@jeff9
Me, too, Bill. Guess it just seems like Willie was born old. Photos of him younger look weird to me. Thanks for the listen, amigo. You are a most generous FAWMer. I could spend all day just reading your comments.
[avatar]
Thank you for always being so supprtive. You know I love working with you and I love your work. You are a great friend and artist
[avatar]
Awesome! I will pour you a glass of port from the 7th floor mini bar. I’ve eaten all the dark chocolate truffles already but there are a few pretzels left.
[avatar]
Thanks for listening to "Catch The Train" -- I'm glad, too, that Andy's vocals and guitar played against the "rush" implied by his lyrics.
[avatar]
@jeff9
Wow, Bill. Just saw where you put “Gabriel” on the recommendation thread. Thank you for that, man. Quite an honor.
[avatar]
Hey there. Just sent you an mp3, hope it makes it through the junk filter!
[avatar]
Thanks for your lovely comment on Final Friday. @chrismyth02 is always fun to collaborate with.
[avatar]
@brisk
Just wanted to say: I'm appreciating the words for Cross-Exchange more and more, I think they are an amazing bit of work. I am doing my best. But I'm 1:12 in, stuck at "...she was waiting for someon"... I'll put some more time in over the coming days. It's turning into a bit of an introspective jazz "Frank Mills" - not sure if that's what you had in mind!
[avatar]
Right! True people don't need exposure that (mockery) way. They are respected.

'I want you' was my first introduction to Elvis Costello. Quite the experience being 13 years old back then.
[avatar]
Bill, thank you so much for your comments on my songs, it means a lot!

For the latest one about the long band name, the accent becoming more apparent was definitely not intentional! It was just the stress of and exhaustion from having to read the complicated words... it's an interesting observation!
[avatar]
@mikeb
Thanks for the listen and comments on 'Rendezvous'!
[avatar]
Hi Bill. I appreciate your comment - and praise - very much.

Gabrielle is an unusual song among my catalogue this year because I'm baring my soul a little more nakedly with this one. It deals with a lot of themes that have been weighing heavily on me recently - and occasionally for several years (I've edited the liner notes with more detail if you wanted the specifics). The fact that it's given you pause to consider the layers means a lot to me.
[avatar]
@jeff9
Bill, your extraordinarily kind words have kinda choked me up and misted my eyeballs. I'm overwhelmed and hardly know what to say, but thank you, sir. You are a beautiful soul and...I think I love you, man.
[avatar]
Thank you for the comment on "Worms Crawl on the Skeletons of the Dead Tyrants"! Glad you appreciate our black metal coldness!
[avatar]
I hope I didn't offend you. I think you're one of the best singers in the fawmverse. Maybe gravel wasn't the right word :)
[avatar]
Thanks for your thoughts on "When You're Famous!"
[avatar]
@brisk
Oh, that's above and beyond, Bill, but thanks. The genesis of the lyric was remembering being a teenager, and being part of a groupwho doted on a "queen bee" of our age but who projected an aura of worldly wisdom. I have no doubt that this aura was only enough to fool people of the same age!
[avatar]
@gm7
Thx you Bill. I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 historical collabs especially the Exilium : Battle of Cannae with the great emotion singing and lyrics from you. In a poor attempt at a Shakespearian phase. "I am but the vessel you are the elixir that flows from the opening"....sad I know!
[avatar]
@brisk
Thanks for the comment! Ha ha, no, I think it means the same thing here too. I'm not sure if it holds up to much scrutiny, but Friend of Dorothy is intended us a poppy little meditation on the difference between seeming and being, and a euphemism like "friend of Dorothy" seemed to be quite a nice way in, especially with some of the "seeming vs being" themes prebaked into Oz.
[avatar]
@johns
Thanks, Bill, for your comments. Jeff did a great job. I'll get to work on those three missing verses!
[avatar]
Thanks for your comments on my latest songs! After our collab i had to do something funny and lightening up.
We still receive detailed and stunning comments - some of them touch me a lot.
[avatar]
I may have to give credit to George Bush Jr. for the "haves and a have more's"
I believe he had addressed a group of extremely wealthy patrons as such at one of his fundraisers! How fitting...
[avatar]
@jeff9
Thank you, Bill. I would've dug some more verses on Five String Blues, too. Maybe John will be inspired by your comment to expand the lyrics.
[avatar]
Thank you for listening to "When You're Famous!"
[avatar]
On Boraboring Carbon Copy, whatever I capitalized are the changes I made to the lyrics I inherited from the previous "owner" :0)
[avatar]
Thank Bill - it was a real treat working with Nancy! I have no idea what the genre is but tex mex sounds good to me! Thanks for the listen and comment - you are so very generous!
[avatar]
I am so grateful for ALL of your comments and Neverending support with all of my tunes.
But, so far, nothing compares to the comment you left on “Renewed Hope.” it May very well not work out on my end. Regardless, it starts, continues and ends with the music. So, if nothing else, that song was the result.

And I agree. Second chance songs are rare.
[avatar]
@mikeb
Thanks for the listen and comment on 'Start Living the Dream'!
[avatar]
Got it, love it, I’ll see what I can do!
[avatar]
Hey Bill, thanks for the kind comment on Sister, means a lot because the song meant a long to me! Just to say I dropped you an email to say yes please to the shore leave song, no rush but just lemme know if you don’t get it 👍
[avatar]
Hey, Bill - thank you for trusting me with your baby. I had a hoot and learned a lot. Thanks too for all your encouragement along the way.
[avatar]
@thetau
Check your email... I sent you the Track Super good work by the way
Russ
[avatar]
Thanks for listening and the comment on "I think I'm an Anime Protagonist". Yes, the repeating line at the end is "I'm so Emo". I added it to the lyrics.
[avatar]
@toms
Thank you Bill! I have an in: my daughter is a scenic designer. :)
[avatar]
@brisk
Just wanted to say thanks for that really kind comment - much appreciated. I think my natural song length is about 90 seconds! The very first song I wrote and played in my band was about 85, and some of my favourite along the way have been similarly abbreviated. It's just a great length to do a couple of verses, a couple of choruses, and something else.
[avatar]
@andrea
Yes, you are spot on. Happiness is a changing state. We do need to enjoy when we it comes our way :)
[avatar]
No problem. You have been busy!
[avatar]
Hey Bill. I wondered if you might like this one?
https://write.fawm.org/songs/13469
[avatar]
@andrea
Bill, thank you so much for all your comments on my lyrics and collaborations. I love reading each one. I truly appreciate your support :) I see you have been busy, and I have some catching up to do.
[avatar]
Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment on “Who Would Be Mine.” I enjoy playing around with chord progressions and am glad this one led me somewhere interesting. Thanks, also, for equally thoughtful thoughts about “I am the Salty Sea!”
[avatar]
Looking forward to the vocals on "Little Bit of Lonely."
[avatar]
Thanks @billwhite51 for the kind words on my tunes! Looking forward to catching up what you've been making this FAWM. Congrats on crossing the finish line!
[avatar]
You're making a hell of a dent in FAWM with that one guitar and your lyrics + voice. Glad to be a part of this with you!
[avatar]
You're a purist or just a real musician! I love that! I'm just a producer. A bonified one at that. 😀
[avatar]
Thanks for clarifying on the instruments you use. My first thought was that it was just you and the acoustic. I guess in your case, my first thought was right. :)
[avatar]
Thanks so much for your helpful critique of "Write About Now (with vocals)."
[avatar]
@brisk
woah, these look tricksy and interesting, leave them with me and I'll see what I can do. I've also got some McTown ones sloshing around, but I can probably let the both mulch a while.
[avatar]
@thetau
I posted a Track for your "Little bit of Lonely" let me know (Here), if you can make it work with the lyrics. If so I'll Put you on the collab, and send the the track By email for you to record Vox. 😀
Russ
[avatar]
Wait…is your friend flea? I had the P album!
[avatar]
Thanks Bill for your offer to do vocals on Cabal Of Cannibals if I can find someone to do the music. :) Much appreciated
[avatar]
Hey Bill, thanks for the kind words. There is no possible world in which Morrissey is afraid to follow freshspotlessyouth! If you and your family are within shouting distance of Portland, please stop by for dinner. Good luck as you face this new chapter of your life
[avatar]
I am so glad, you like it!
[avatar]
Done.
[avatar]
Oh Bill - what a mess with the emailing ... :-) is it ok for you if I post the collab?
[avatar]
@thetau
I agree with you on "Small Eyes." And it does the job of communication the real questions that most people don't even ask.
BTW I'm a music first kinda guy. Probable cause I'm weak with the lyric. I got some good Ideas but my poetic products seems a bit lacking. Most a the time anyway.
Russ
[avatar]
Hey Bill, you got an email :-)
[avatar]
Krushgroove is officially on my list of movies to see. It's the only one right now. Thanks for the recommendation!
[avatar]
Thank you for your insight into a world of fat boys I was not aware of. :P
[avatar]
Thanks for commenting on my song "Swept Away".
[avatar]
Thanks for commenting on my collab song with crisp1 "All the Time in the World".
Congrats on your Trophy!
[avatar]
Thanks for commenting on my song "Lost Soulmate".
[avatar]
@mikeb
Thanks for the comment on my collab with Tammy, 'Defy Gravity'!
[avatar]
hey bill, thanks for the listen - im now off to listen to Seperate Ways (Teddy thompson) an album i have lost in my music ether now to be revisited!
[avatar]
@thetau
I'm thinking that "Doo Wap" you do so well, although your Derivation of Dylan is intriguing, and so well done in that "Yonkovich," way that you have put it. It would take me some doing to match Dylan on the musical side. He has that Spiritual aspect that approaches the Divine. Hmmm... well yes his lyric do the same.

Regarding either Party: neither represents the "People." I do liked what Tulsi is up to, even before she walked away. She's more of a Constitutionalist than any of them, and I don't think that Political Parties, all of them run by Corporations, are anywhere part of the Constitution. So reforming the Parties won't do the trick. "Back to Basics." is tough too, when it all, world wide, has all been infiltrated by Corporate Gangsters.
Anyway, give me a day or so to deviate something. I'll get back
Russ
[avatar]
I emailed you :) Thanks Bill!! Will be watching out for your collab with Russ below! @thetau Will your family be moving back to the states?
[avatar]
@thetau
Hey Bill, I have been following what's happening with the unrest in Peru. It's happening all over the world, though the main stream media here in the US are not covering it... hiding it actually. I have a Drummer I work with in Brazil, they seem to be in the middle of it too, then over in Europe, especially France, the people are thinking twice about what their leaders are up to... half a million in the streets over there. Dylan's words are coming back to haunt us, "The Times They are a Changing." Maybe we should do another on this year?

Hey Bill! I just learned that Feb. 20th is the due date for the compilation. I won't be able to participate after all :( I've emailed Catherine, too. I didn't realize it was so soon, but I think it is an amazing cause. I'll support it for sure.
[avatar]
Thanks for listening to “One Lucky Valentine!”
[avatar]
Appreciate the listen so much, but those lyrics are all from the magical imagination of Liz, who did the lyrics, vocals and bass
[avatar]
Let’s do it, Bill! @wacha
I’ll email you.
[avatar]
Thank you for your comment on "Hot Biscuit Slim and Cream Puff Fatty (Cookin' With What You Got)". Sorry to say this, and I do so with love in my heart, but,

I said, hey yay yay yeah yeah
hey yay yeah
i said HEY
Bill White, you're wrong!

:-)

Looking forward to checking out your stuff!
[avatar]
Thanks Bill, I can hear Scott Walker in that Lyric, It will be a challenge, but I'll give it a try. Cheers.
[avatar]
It did in fact go to spam just found it
[avatar]
Well most dispensary weed is actually fine but a lot of companies do stuff to quick dry and quick cure, or use these machines that are essentially industrial microwaves that are intended to remove any impurities (mold etc.) but these machines remove pretty much all the terps as well. I may or may not grow my own. The reference to price and quantity is actually a reference to the film “boys and girls guide to getting down” where they say that weed is cheap, good, and plentiful, so might as well keep it illegal.
[avatar]
I haven't been watching foreign MOVIES lately (although I'm in the middle of ARGENTINA 1985--which I love), so much as a lot of foreign TV series I'm finding on Netflix. FAUDA out of Israel, BORDERTOWN out of Finland, BORGEN out of Sweden? Norway? --several series out of Spain. You can just GOOGLE "Best foreign tv series on Netflix" and get a list--I've pretty much seen every one of the top 10. Movies I'm way behind on...
[avatar]
Bill, Thanks so much for what you said about Love Doesn't End When It's Over. I so enjoyed working with @carleybaer on this! A total pleasure!
[avatar]
Thanks… good idea! Taking it!
[avatar]
Glad you liked my Obsolete song. Thanks for the fulsome praise.
[avatar]
I just listened to 'I'll Cry Tomorrow' and am so moved by your words and raw vocal. I came here to thank you for commenting on a couple of my songs, and stayed to listen to your songs.
[avatar]
Listening to the album now Bill. I hope you land close by..Would be great to meet your family and play some tunes with you!
[avatar]
Hey Bill..I am so sorry you have to leave your beloved Peru. May peace prevail. Thank s for your kind comments on Alter ego and all around support!!
[avatar]
“Tough-ass song” - I like it!
[avatar]
Thanks for your comment. I relistened and totally agree the mix needs some adjustments. Thanks!
[avatar]
Go onto google maps and look up Elizabeth Downs, South Australia. The two arterial roads are Midway Road and Yorktown Road. Look closer and just about everything is there (including Nautilus). A lot of us don't forget, and heartfelt thanks to your father and grandfather.
[avatar]
Hi Bill
Thank you for your perceptive comments on Encroaching.
Means a lot coming from you
[avatar]
Ok - we do it that way! Don’t know why it don’t works?
Thanks so much for your trust - it won't be difficult to sing or speak this with pain and grief! I will do what I can to express this!
It maybe takes me a few days.
[avatar]
It would be a honor to me to work with you!
It seems your email link doesn‘t work. Please sent the lyrics on my email address - you find it in my bio.
What kind of music do you think about? And please have my big german dialect in mind 😎
[avatar]
Thanks for the comment on Dead End Falls and The Animals link. Escape from the poverty and drudgery of life in North East England in the early 60s. Its a common theme worldwide and unfortunately still relevant 60 years later. I may return to the song if inspiration grabs me, but it's unlikely.
Your finished the 14 already, I have much to do, got another 6 mapped out, then nothing. May be a little short this year so was thinking I could try something with one of your lyrics if ya got any spare. I haven't put music to someone else's lyrics since about 1989 and I have to say it didn't go that well, but let's face the fear. Cheers.
[avatar]
Bill, so so glad that things are moving even if grindingly slow. Thanks for telling me! Fingers crossed still, though!
[avatar]
We never had the money to cruise and then we didn't have the time until too late (we could have hitched a ride on one of my brother's ships had the time been there) so ignoring overnighter passage ships from long ago, didn't start until 2016 with MV Astor out of Adelaide. Did two more cruises and she suited us perfectly. Small, old style, good entertainment if you wanted it, just lovely. AND we could afford a suite! COVID fixed that. Can't cope with the giant chicken coops that have survived. Bill, fingers crossed for you and your family. No real help to offer, but I hope the US immigration does something. I remain appalled at the treatment of your family, but you knew that. Some things about the US of A I know but can't fathom.
[avatar]
Its bad when you fall asleep and then wake up and nothing looks familiar done that few times!!
[avatar]
Hey Bill, you are at 14 already, amazing! I've been meaning to comment a lot more on your songs, they are such a good mix of thoughtful and emotional, and I like the way you sing. So there is so much in them I want to comment on that I overthink what I want to say and just leave again without saying anything. I do that a lot anyway, but as it happens more with your songs than with others', I just wanted to say I really like your music. And I'll still try and leave comments on individual songs, but that may take some time...
[avatar]
@andrea
Thanks for your comments on Superhuman. Farfetched, but not so far off. I hope we don't to this ;-)
[avatar]
Thanks for your comment on "Like There’s No Enemy in There" -- I was hoping that folks could relate, even if my experience was specific.
[avatar]
Thank you for the comment on the squid cookery and I regret it didn't entice you into eating territory. I'd try harder, but I'm desperately trying to disententacle myself and move on...
[avatar]
That's the way it goes. So many of us sit out the remainder of our lives like this. And, hopefully we do so in peace.
[avatar]
Thanks Bill. I appreciate the kind words. :)
[avatar]
Sure!! If you want me, I’m there or up for a collab Bill!
@wacha “have you or do you plan to contribute a track to her album that will be benefitting those with kidney disease?”
[avatar]
“Craving emotional turmoil” sounds like a wound😬love drug. I’m reminded of that Bowie quote, to paraphrase, something about how artists crave dysfunction for their next work. Limerence is also a fascinating topic with how it takes over the brain. Nothing beats a woman’s intuition though once she learns to trust herself. I’ll definitely check out the works you mentioned! Your lyrics are fascinating. Thank you for sharing, Bill!!
[avatar]
Hey Bill... Have you had a good year? (Thanks for your comment on my Letter to the Fallen.)
[avatar]
Please tell me :) I tend to look at things thru a lens of betrayal and trauma whether I mean to or not. I think those strong initial “love” feelings may be wounds that we are subconsciously still trying to heal. It’s why people choose the same type of partner over and over until they heal the core wound. It’s why players play and deflect. Vulnerability in love is truly rare I think bc too many insecurities and people weaponize it. It can be something for the sake of it, right? There’s always a lesson…I thought these things with your lyrics!! Please tell me bc I’m not aware of the works you mentioned. And thank you for the song with Catherine!! She rocks!
[avatar]
@jeff9
Hey, Bill. Very nice of you to comment on When I Get Home. Thanks a million for giving it a listen.
[avatar]
Thanks for listening to "You Give Good Text" -- that enthusiastic uking always makes me shoot several more takes than I would otherwise. I get a little carried away (but it's more fun that way). ;)
[avatar]
Thank you, maybe I have, who knows? ;) Glad you enjoyed it!
[avatar]
You are welcome :)
[avatar]
https://write.fawm.org/songs/16734#c63358 thought you'd get a kick out of the song my husband wrote :)
[avatar]
Glad you enjoyed my little "Stumblin'" - In fact I wrote the lyrtics for it so it coudl fit a "noodle" (improvisation) that Brian "master of the blues ukulele" aka Pabrizzer had come up with earleir in the week.
[avatar]
Thank you for showing some understanding for Misunderstood Microbes!
[avatar]
Hi Bill, I would like to thank you very much for your generous words and for mentioning me in such a positive way... you are too kind...
[avatar]
🤗😘
[avatar]
Thanks you so much for all your uplifting and kind comments! It means a lot to me! 🤗
[avatar]
Hi Bill
Thanks so much for taking a listen to I miss you my collab with @crisp1
I always value your comments and feedback. I'm a little under the weather at the moment so I apologize for falling behind on my listens. Should be back in better shape over the weekend.
[avatar]
Thanks Bill for your comment on Broken man at dawn, much appreciated, I suspect I would have liked your friend. Cheers Greg
[avatar]
Ahhh ok... well , I agree :) Thanks! The last two songs you posted are amazing by the way, will be listening some more tomorrow! I wish the day had 48 hours to listen to the many wonderful songs here on FAWM.
[avatar]
Thank you for listening and commenting! Actually, the drums are the free MT2 Power Drumkit, taking no credit for the programming, only for mixing them. I'm glad you enjoyed the song :)
[avatar]
Thanks for your thoughtful notes on "The Lights on the Radio Tower." I agree with you -- it could be she never gets on that train.
[avatar]
@serene
Ah thank you very much for the comment on our Christmas tune, and interesting about the chorus almost being a song in itself!
[avatar]
@sph
Hi Bill, thanks for listening and your words
[avatar]
@mikeb
Thanks for the listen and comment on 'Xenon Headlights'!
[avatar]
I guess Bill White morph of bad surrealist verse = Good verse
[avatar]
Hey, Bill - I'm in awe of all the great stuff you are undertaking. You know I'm always up for helping with anything. I'm guessing this FAWM you may need to be focused on your big project, and maybe 5090 is better for collaborating.
[avatar]
Need to do some minor edits on Echoes to make it fit musically. You OK with that? I will endeavour to retain the meaning
[avatar]
I will get to it Bill, just super busy at the mo
[avatar]
I’ll sure give it the old college-dropout try. Email on its way.
[avatar]
Thank you so much for your kind feedback about my voice! This means a lot to me!
[avatar]
Thank you for your considered and thoughtful words on ‘These Haunted Dreams’, the collab I did with @andrea. Much appreciated! :-)
[avatar]
Thanks for your comment on "Devils on the Trampolines of Hell" -- I was worried I'd done the title a disservice by creating this song around it, but it seems like some folks are finding it works for them. Appreciate it.
[avatar]
Thank you for speaking kindly of "Average Joe". I appreciate you stopping by.
[avatar]
@andrea
Thanks for your comments on These Haunted Dreams. Too funny. You made my day!
[avatar]
:)
[avatar]
Wow. That must have been hard. The nurse who delivered my daughter was within a few hundred yards from where JFK was killed.
[avatar]
The email has been checked, all systems go
[avatar]
Thanks Bill! Btw, I am going to be getting to mixing that song either tonight or tomorrow. The structure and arrangement of Thinking Problem isn't as thought out as I would like, but it still captures the idea alright. I just forced myself to stay up and do it and just accepted the results. That is my world right now. You are doing great! I am looking forward to having the time to listen to what you've been doing, which should be soon.
On the situation in Peru, I'm glad that the conflicts are pretty limited to the airport area. I remember one time when there was a Coup in Honduras and we went there, but there wasn't really any sign of conflict except in remote, isolated places that we heard about. That was really some situation in Peru though. I was kind of shocked that they tried to shut down or knee cap huge parts of the government just like that.
[avatar]
@billwhite51 you are welcome!
[avatar]
I guess I felt compelled to pick up on the "not making sense" comment as praiseworthy because some of the feedback from NSAI was that my songs didn't make sense. They weren't supposed to be "on the nose" songs.
[avatar]
Ah, thank you so much for your comment on “Curious.” Means a lot to me!
[avatar]
Thanks so much for the comment just now on The Wanderer by me and Metalfoot.
I've really awkward about actually trying to sing, so it means a lot 😀
[avatar]
Did you listen on YouTube directly? I hear sound there but I can never get my YouTube links to work directly on the FAWM site. Strange...
[avatar]
@cts
...now it doesn't. *insert puzzled look here*
[avatar]
@cts
Interesting (regarding the progression). The bandcamp player has Sunfire listed as one of the artists for that song.
[avatar]
@brisk
I wonder if it is as clear to the listener as I intended: my conception was that it is totally from the POV of a whiny old plutocrat - the idea being that their justifications of their own authority are completely circular and ultimately boil down to nothing more than the "I'm bigger than you" stuff that is patronising paternalism at best, and at worst is just "nature, red it tooth and claw" grimness.
[avatar]
Eric, stand up! Played guitar like Verlaine, i always talked to him about that and then tom verlaine passed the day before Eric,
[avatar]
ding ding ding..You guessed right.
[avatar]
Hey Bill..thanks for your co.ment on You're the boss. It was the 3 song while sitting at the Korg last night. The other 2 need work..I just wanted to post something!
Did you see the movie that inspired me? Clue. It started as a working relationship.
[avatar]
Thanks for commenting on my song "Choose".
[avatar]
@brisk
Ahhh, thanks for that lovely comment on Sing To Me (talking of Blur, isn't Sing just wonderful?) - if my subconscious was writing comments on my songs without me knowing to make me glow with pride, they'd probably sound a lot like that!

I think there's something so magical about Mellon Collie, I love the fact that you are a fellow traveller in that regard! I'm not sure that there's any better start to a double album's second disc (I realise this is quite a specialist category) than Where Boys Fear To Tread - that single song is probably the most influential on my idea of what a heavy rocker should be. It should sound incredibly heavy, and it should have ephemeral "do do do" backing harmonies!
[avatar]
Thank you so much Bill - I always love that when writers surprise me with their melodic choices and I know exactly what you mean!
[avatar]
I will, Bill! Thank you so much. I'm still playing catch up at work/studies since my surgery right now, but I always check out what you've recommended without disappointment!
[avatar]
The Watermelon Bike song was not an LSD flash back. It was from the "random image challenge" and if you follow the link on that song's page you can see the image I got which inspired the song.
[avatar]
So do lies. Particularly from those in a position of power!
[avatar]
Thank you for the really kind comment! Much appreciated!
[avatar]
@brisk
Thanks Bill, for listening to the walking air! Looking forward to catching up with some of yours this afternoon - I've been rather self-absorbed this past weekend.
[avatar]
@kiffa
Thank you very much for the listen and comment, Bill. "Easter Sunday" is not the murder ballad I was talking about a few weeks ago-- this idea just came to me within the last few days. And while it's a ballad about a murder, I don't think of it as a 'murder ballad' per se. Maybe it is, maybe any ballad about a murder qualifies and it's not up to me to decide, but to me "Easter Sunday" isn't a murder ballad, it's just a horribly sad true story. My intended murder ballad, if I get around to finishing it, will be a fictional story, and I'll be able to sing it without crying lol. Thank you again; it means a lot to me that the song affected you so deeply.
[avatar]
Hi, Bill. Loved your comment about Jeff "Glen Campbell" Walker on Always You. I was really pleased when he asked to put my lyrics to music. I knew he would do a wonderful job. Glad you liked it, too.
[avatar]
Thanks for the listen to my "Crazier than You."
[avatar]
@owl
Thank you for your insightful comments as always, Bill. And thank you for sharing about your mother—I’m sorry you had to suffer through that, but it helps me to remember that none of us are alone in struggling.
[avatar]
Thanks for commenting on my song "His Sun".
[avatar]
thank you Bill for your always insightful comments on "Voices." drama, confession, conflict, indeed. For the upright bass, @burrsettles highly recommended this plugin and he was right. It's got a real feel to it.
[avatar]
Hey Bill! Sorry about the delay…I’ve been dealing with some unexpected things. Anyway, of course go for it! Thanks!
[avatar]
Bill, your comment on If This Is Love, I Don’t Like It, gave me a good chuckle for the day. Thanks for listening!
[avatar]
Thanks for checking out Mama Dang Left Us, Jason crafted a fun little track and I loved singing on it.
[avatar]
@mikeb
Thanks for the comment on 'Spark'!
[avatar]
Thank you for listening. Have fun FAWMing!
[avatar]
Hi Bill, good to see you here again and I will be checking in on your songs all month.
[avatar]
Wow it is really cool that those sounds came from a guitar!
[avatar]
I will shoot over that instrumental today I just looked at my outbox and realized I spaced it, sorry! Been goin crazy lol
[avatar]
Thanks Bill, I'd say Violent Femmes are very much in line with the foundational ethos of scrap metal. Glad you're enjoying the experiment
[avatar]
Bill, thanks for your comments on The Movie In My Mind. I feel the same way about what David and Kate "so effortlessly" did with this lyric. It was wonderful to work with them...although it sure didn't feel like "work."
[avatar]
10!
[avatar]
Thank you for the comment on "Introvert Avenue," that's very kind of you. Nice to see you here, hope things are going well down there.
[avatar]
@brisk
Oh, thanks so much for taking the time to listen to that - and commenting as you did. Although I said it was ungraded, any SFF comparison earns you a gold star, which will be in the post forthwith.

At the time I was tending to be a bit looser with structuring songs I think - it's weird how you go through phases. I don't think I could write that now.

Anyway - thanks. I do what I can to keep my creative "neediness" in check, but sometimes it just kind of squirts out around the edges, I have come to recognise!
[avatar]
@brisk
I don't think anybody deserves additional homework, but I was just listening to a song I did a few years ago: the structure is a bit twisted up, which prompted an impulse to share it in light of our earlier conversation about song structuring - https://yeslessness.bandcamp.com/track/back-n-forth - but this is not a marked assignment and failure to listen will not affect your final grade in any way.
[avatar]
I am stealing your analysis as a block quote for the song. :)
[avatar]
Thanks for the comment on “Snapping at Silverfish.” It made me laugh. The dog really ate the silverfish — when he could catch them. My narrator’s trying to catch a live one of a different sort. ;)
[avatar]
Thanks for your Dead Grass comment!
[avatar]
Hi Bill, thanks for the comment on my song: Margins of Desire
[avatar]
@brisk
Thanks Bill, that was a really lovely comment. I think a lot of my most successful lyrics end up being splurted out when I need words to say to go with a melody I'm laying down - and when I spend hours trying to do thoughtful words I get so tangled up in being clever that they don't work for other people.

On the structure: I tend to feel the tension between giving my creativity free reign and making something that other people will have any interest in listening to. Having a kind of ABCABC kind of thing going gives a bit of a middle ground - room for some variety, but hopefully it doesn't make it too alienating. Hopefully!
[avatar]
Hi Bill, glad you liked Thank God You Left Me. I'll be checking in on you.
[avatar]
Hey Bill
You always leave such interesting comments.
Django and his clan ate hedgehogs. Wonder which is better. I don't think I'll find out :-)
[avatar]
Thank you for your comments on “Miss Kitty” - hope it wasn’t too strange for you. It was a fun song to do…
[avatar]
Thanks for your comment on my song. I thought the accordion might be a little bit too much but maybe I'll try adding it in later. Cheers!
[avatar]
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment on "Time to say goodbye"! ...that would be awesome! :-)
[avatar]
@candle
Hey Bill! Thanks for my first Zong-bust 😀 Yeah, the vocals are part of it, but I'd like to get some more variation in the backing ambience. Oh well, that's a project for March, maybe LOL.

See You In The Shadows…
[avatar]
Thank you for your kind words, sir. Glad to see you back. I’m looking forward to hearing your originals this month!!
[avatar]
I will shoot you over that instrumental!
[avatar]
Hey Bill,
Thanks for the listen and your always astute comments on Voices, my ode to the inner dialogue of a writer, at least this one. @burrsettles made a great recommendation for this upright plugin that's the bomb. Thought I'd try it out and feature it, so I improv'd the music and free formed the vocals on top.
[avatar]
I share your view on the vocals in this case given the subject matter of the lyrics.
[avatar]
@brisk
Thanks Bill, that was really generous. I actually was thinking purely of Cecilia, not about Paul Simon musically, but I'll take any PS comparison I can get - no backsies! As is probably evident, I started with the drum part, and the rest of the song (bass was second) grew out of that - so they are pretty key to the song.
[avatar]
Thanks, Bill, for the feedback on "Chores."

Love the metaphors by the way! :)
[avatar]
Thank you Bill for checking out murmurations. I did a little research on Willem de Kooning and yup... He's totally my jam.
[avatar]
I guess the clue is in the name The Abyss. Great words from @cindyrella as ever and I even contributed some myself. I think you definitely caught the essence of the song in your comment.
[avatar]
I will definitely give it a go.
[avatar]
Thanks for the comment on Fawning over FAWMing. It was very much a spur of the thing and it's lovely to hear what others hear in it 😀
[avatar]
Wow, that was a quick turnaround, Bill! I'm Sean from Lavish Dude - just renamed my account this year since having it be my name felt redundant, and I'm "thinkalto" elsewhere on the web. I wrote this one on my own, but I could easily see Andrew going to town on guitar or piano and I had it as a Lavish Dude tune in mind. I wrote it all on viola as a fun challenge, but it wouldn't need to stay that way.
[avatar]
@mikeb
Thanks for the comment on 'Frosty Winter Day'! I think we've talked about Allston before - I lived a block off the Comm Ave/Harvard Ave intersection. I have no recollection of the 82 winter, though - and I rode a bike to North Cambridge every day there wasn't snow on the road!
[avatar]
And I dunno if you've enountered him online, but Leonardo "MoonJune" Pavkovic organises shows and tours (and occasionally albums) by many of the surviving Canterbury folk. He also helped Allan a lot in his later years. He's one of the good guys.
[avatar]
The Canterbury scene? Oh hell yes. Robert Wyatt is a genius. The Softs will always have a place in my heart (two words: Allan Holdsworth). I love Hillage, and Caravan; Kevin Ayers's "Stranger in Blue Suede Shoes" was one of the first singles I ever bought. And Dave Stewart was a big influence on my keyboard playing (especially his later work in Bruford, although I still remember him and Barbara Gaskin appearing on Top of the Pops...)
[avatar]
@jamkar
Thank you Bill. That is high praise from someone who actually sat in Monk’s presence.
[avatar]
Thanks for taking the time to listen. I wish you the best in this years challenge Bill 😎
[avatar]
@lowhum
Didn't think about the birds and the bees metaphor - just remembered a tom Robbins where there was a guy with a beehive on his head - jitterbug perfume
[avatar]
Thank you, Bill!!
[avatar]
Thank you so much, Bill for your kind comment on Inner Strength. I'm looking forward to hearing your beautiful songs.
[avatar]
Thanks for the comment Bill. Much appreciated
[avatar]
Thanks for the first listen. Now, I may have my work cut out for me.
[avatar]
Thanks Bill, your profile pic has a real Dave Grohl vibe to it
[avatar]
Have a great FAWM, I am deep into my second book now so won't be participating (probably) but I will check in and see what is going on from time to time. Geoff :-)
[avatar]
@aneil
Hi @billwhite51 that's quite a resume! Have a fab FAWM
[avatar]
Thanks Bill, good to see you back as well. Let's do this thing!
[avatar]
Hi Bill

Happy FAWMing!
[avatar]
@cola

[avatar]
Hi Bill! Thanks and so glad to be fawming with you again. Let's rock!
[avatar]
@clioem
Happy FAWM!

[avatar]
Thanks for the message Bill...I hope we can do something together too...have a good FAWM!
[avatar]
@panch
Thanks for the message Bill. Happy FAWM, looking forward to how your cinematic inspirations reveal themselves in your songs.
[avatar]
@cts
Hello, good sir. Stopping by to say hello and wish you a great FAWM. Always a marvel to experience what you bring to the table. I believe 2023 will not disappoint. Let's get it!
[avatar]
@ttg105
Thanks for stopping by ... see ya in a day or two!
[avatar]
Boots? I wake up ready, wearing the sweatpants and socks I went to bed in. I know you are always ready, what with your long history of making art. I hope you are safe and well
[avatar]
hi Bill, thanks for the message. Happy FAWMing to you too. Hopefully we can collaborate on something?
[avatar]
I'm looking forward to this diabolical music monster you have in mind. Keep me posted!
[avatar]
Hey Bill! I just realized that I hadn’t officially said hello to you, since I see you fairly often on Tuesdays. So, a big hello to you!
[avatar]
@roddy
Hope you stay safe.
[avatar]
@roddy
Good to see you again.
[avatar]
@wacha
Thanks Bill! I always love hearing your songs.
[avatar]
Hi Bill! I hope all is ok... I am looking very forward to some new awesome songs of yours!
[avatar]
Nice abstract jazzy piano!! I liked that a lot. Happy FAWMing!!
(be careful down there, that's first and foremost)
[avatar]
@lowhum
Greetings! If you do the movie concept - yeah!
[avatar]
Hi Bill, worrying here for your and family safety. Please be careful.
[avatar]
Hey, I like the profile pic. Me? I'm still green...
[avatar]
@jamkar
I am anticipating excellence my friend. Knowing I will be inspired!
[avatar]
@brisk
Things sound pretty fraught, I hope all is well... enough. Can't wait to hear what you come up with. You've commented warmly before at my Chet Baker style attempts - if you haven't already been swamped with requests for words, and you feel the urge, I'd love to take a running jump at a some Bill White words for a faux jazzy one.
[avatar]
Hey, Bill, looking forward to your new perspective. Stay healthy. Stay safe.
[avatar]
And soon the FAWM frenzy begins and you, my friend, will amaze me once again with your music, versatility, and productivity!
[avatar]
@tjeff
Happy FAWMing Bill!
[avatar]
Hey thank you :) I’m glad to see you here again!
[avatar]
Hey Bill, my favourite adopted Peruvian dude.

Let's do something great this year
[avatar]
Cheers Bill! That CV is a thing of a wonder (kazoo with Pink Floyd is actually the coolest thing I've ever heard). Looking forward to some cinematic tunes this time around. (PS. I'd love to contribute to State of the Heart II - feel free to send me some lyrics!).
[avatar]
Hi Bill! I have thought about you and your family so much reading and hearog about whats going on there I hope you guys are as far away from it as possible, NAd I hope we have a chance to produce together alltough I have limited studiopossibilities this year due to our recent move from one town to another.
[avatar]
Hi, Bill, Thanks for the welcome! I'm eager to listen to your songs again and enjoy your thoughtful comments!
[avatar]
Happy FAWM!!
[avatar]
@jeff9
Greetings, Bill. Looking forward to sampling the fruits of your most fertile mind. Happy FAWMing.
[avatar]
Thank you, Bill, you too :)
[avatar]
@thetau
Back again and still kickin
[avatar]
Hey Bill! Looking forward to your songs and another February with this fantastic community. Happy FAWM!
[avatar]
So glad you're here. the 5090 was so much fun.
[avatar]
Hi Bill,
I'm looking forward to hearing what's on your turntable this time around. My only goal is to be present, breathe, and trust. If nothing happens, I guess I'm f**ked. :0)
Have a good one my friend.
[avatar]
Bill!! Your picture rocks! I hope you and yours have had a safe and healthy year so far. Happy Fawm!! I hope its full of inspiration.
[avatar]
@mikeb
Happy FAWM 2023!
[avatar]
@gm7
Hi Bill..happy FAWMing!
[avatar]
Missed ya bill!
[avatar]
Have a most excellent Fawm 2023!
[avatar]
@fuzzy
