I am a lyricist and have collaborated with several other songwriters and I can't help from getting more and more ideas! I've learned so much and am so grateful!
On Graffiti the orchestration is mainly Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra, the rest drums bass and guitars. Drums are from Drummer program in Logic, turned to MIDi and brought into Cubase. The song was mixed and mastered in Cubase 12
@cindyrella Oren and I both live in the DC area so I meant I'd be happy to sing on his version (he had mentioned recording it, after I first commmented on the song).
Thanks for the comments! My time has been taken up with other things this month and this is the last chance I have before leaving town tomorrow. So, hopefully I can finsh up tonight.
While this has been a great FAWM, one of my regrets is that I haven't been able to work with you. I wll fix that at least in 50/90, but might grab a set of lyrics to work on after February!
Well I think you should come and speak to my new iMac. It has been doing unspeakable things to me. Everything is just incredibly hard. And my ink is empty for my printer (so I had to do screen singing). I just want to start February over! GLad you like it. I see the other one(lyric) is taken. At this stage I am so frustrated I will EAT THE APPLE ON MY TABLE :-D.
I think it's a good song and as I said to you first, the lyric grabs one, so easy to write music for. I just wish I had the singing voice to carry it off.
Cindy! You have about 600 songs and lyrics here! How in the world can one person be so creative? I'm impressed! Thank you for taking time out of all this productivity to listen to How It Was. I was very happy with Marthie's interpretation of the lyrics. Thanks for listening and commenting.
Hi Cindy...just seen your msg re: Tracy's laugh out loud lyric...if I can, I'll get to it tomorrow...in time for St. Valentine's day...can't promise but I'll do my best...
I absolutely understand if you don't want me to, but as per the misunderstanding I mentioned in my comment to "Let the Best come," let me know if it would be OK for me to do a version of this "Let the Beast Come," which keeps all of your lyrics exactly as-is except that one line (where the gently acoustic strumming breaks out into metal (or at least, as metal as I get, which isn't very). If you'd prefer to keep your vision as-is, I of course completely understand!
Thank you for listening. Iām back - in Garageband: my new mac and old mac is in hospital and Iām working on my kitchen old mac. No logic. Gonna need a ghost to fix this situationā¦
Hi! I'm the next in line for harmony-chord-song #6! Could you please send me the lyrics of your song so I can sing to Nate's voice?
You can just post them on my soundboard. Thanks in advance!
You're welcome, you'd be doing me the biggest favor if you left me a little comment on the song's youtube page. And subscribed while there. My stuff lives on there now and I'd love for comments to be there permanently instead of lost when they wipe FAWM clean in a month or so from now. Subscribe too maybe... :)
Hugs.
:) not 20 hours in and you're already serving specials off the cindyrella chalkboard menu! Great to see you again. Hope you and yours have had a blessed year so far. Hugs.
That's up to you. It wouldn't be the first time that two people have set the same lyric to music. I would just recommend that your melody writer @nateger not listen to that before setting a melody to it.
