Thanks for giving a few of my songs a listen. I will repay the compliment when I get over the bout of COVID I am embroiled in. 100º F temperatures and general heavy flu symptoms. Thank goodness I didn't get this in February!

Hi Pippa, thank you so much for listening and commenting on so many of my songs, that was so kind of you!

Here’s the Welsh song - I only did the music. Mary is the Welsh expert.

Hey there Pippa! Thank you for listening to the song for Eric! Very nice comment. We all have 4 track cassette recorders, so one person puts one instrument track and a click for everyone to keep time. They mail it to the next person who puts on another instrument or voice….and on a couple more times until the song is all done. The last person mixes it. There isn’t any conversation about the song before you get the cassette in the mail, then you decide what you want to do. Fun how you don’t know what’s coming or what will happen afterwards.

Thanks for listening to our tribute to standup. Eric was amazing and we were really happy how the song turned out. As for the process, you can read how it is done on the @fourtracktape page and if you want to see it in action, there are some videos that we have made that show the process in action. One part written at a time and a cassette that is nailed from person to person.

Congrats on the win!!

Thanks for the comments on my songs! Much appreciated!

Thankyou for all your kind comments - a welcome surprise when I checked back in! And also thanks for considering my stuff for Music Without Borders. I'd be fine with anything from here going on, though obviously there's some rough patches.... let me know what the possible choices are and I'll make sure to put them up on Soundcloud. ( I do have a couple of older albums on Bandcamp too.) I've stuck my email address on my profile.

@scubed
Thank you so much for your generous comments - and a special thank-you for suffering through the ghastly initial “Dovetail Jig” demo (since replaced)! And congratulations on a very successful FAWM!

@kkd
Thank you for your kind comments. Nice to know I'm not the only one feeling like the well is dry!

Thank you for the very kind words in your email. I'm doing okay, thanks. I'm feeling optimistic about life right now. All sorts of new things are happening; it's exciting. As for songs that I'd like people to hear, I reckon this track I wrote during 50/90 in 2021 would be my first pick. The older I get, the more I find myself thinking about the question it asks...

Well, thank you so much for taking the time to listen and comment on a couple of my songs, "Still Finding My Way" and "I Got A Cat Named Bert", both very different from each other.

I've seen that H2 Zoom recorder. Don't know much about it but it sounds awesome. I use my phone so much, which works great. However, I have been curious about something like that.

Hi Pippa, thanks for that explanation. That sounds so fun and a great thing to make time pass while driving. That new recorder sounds pretty darn cool too…

Thank you thank you for the listen and comment on Pisces Girl, I was going for the watery feel and you got it!! Very cool :)

Hi Pippa. Thank you once again for your lovely and kind comments!
How do I do it? I really have no clue. I'm guessing it's partly because my brain is wired oddly? I sit down with a mic, a feeling, and an instrument, and the tunes happen.

I'll have a go at it over the next couple of days. 😄

I love the title. I will have something recorded by this weekend. It says slow, but do you have metronome marking in mind. Do you want it slower or faster than Andante (76 BPM)

Cavaquinho is an ancester of the haïtian ukulele. It's a portugese instrument also very used in brasilian music.

I love its rythmic and bright sound. But I master the traditional rythms sadly not enough. So I used it as a french "java" musician would have played a guitar.
You can find more clever use of the instrument by the band "Sage comme des sauvages": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-wngqbKw_Y

I don't know how you know that I met Mr Dragon Dreams in person. But yes, it was definitely fun.. We went to see Wobbie Wobbit together. That also fun.
I see you play fiddle. Want to collab?
