Trying to make it through college and FAWM! This is my fifth year. My music generally falls somewhere between indie pop and folk punk, been writing for eight years or so.

I released an EP in September that I'm really proud of!! https://skylerfoley.bandcamp.com/album/coffee-person

(the following section is about my project this year, which contains sensitive themes. consider this an NSFW warning for the below)

This year I will be attempting my first CONCEPT ALBUM!! After some Wikipedia surfing I came across the story of Cathy Evelyn Smith, which I found fascinating. She started out as a groupie for Canadian rock group The Band when she was only sixteen, and after relationships with other musicians she grew up to be a groupie and deal drugs to The Rolling Stones, along with many others. This led her to meet John Belushi, a comedian struggling with his own addiction. She was the one to administer the drugs that killed him, and was charged and imprisoned for his murder. Her story is one of addiction, abuse, and tragedy. Here's her Wikipedia page, it's very interesting! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathy_Smith

I am going to try to handle these tough topics with as much care as possible, but given the short time I have to write this I will almost certainly mess up. Please know that I am doing my best!

LMAO don't worry about rubbing it in, most of my closest friends are all somewhere on the east coast, so i'm pretty used to it by now 😜 by contrast, wisconsin summers are hecking wonderful (i live right by lake michigan), & it *almost* makes dealing with the winters worth it.

Thank you for your kind comments! I've got some more listening to do of your stuff 😀

Thanks for the continued support. It was a lot of fun turning a joke song into a song for Molly. She's an absolute pain in the butt, but, she's the best

Hey Skyler! Thanks for your comment on "Faith is a Feeling". I've never been religious myself, but just in the last few months of hard times (and after a year of working on being very open in general) found this surprising feeling to universal connectedness and being protected by something greater than myself. It really is (I think) something I conjured in me when I most needed it, but I think that's just as beautiful and that a community that uses religion as a way to connect and share in that feeling, just as we do through music with other feelings, can be a great thing.

Thanks for your praise on my bluesy rant. I have been accused in the past of fitting too many themes into the one song 😉
