"Sorry, just saw @cts talk about living down the street from eachother; if I was in the same neighborhood, ya'll wouldn't be able to keep me out! I'd be raiding ya'lls fridges, eatin' the chips out ya'll pantries
Yo...thanks' for the kind words (see above)...BUT you said you would "EAT MY CHIPS...wow!. I would give up a guitar first..lol 😁 Howdy neighbor!!!! See u at 5090!
More than likely we'd probably build a studio in one our backyards and just pretty much live there. Now - 'bout them chips. It would DEFINITELY have to be Wrap City and no other. Them chips are kissed with divinity!!!
It really was a realization that I had more boxes than stuff. People just kept mailing me these quality boxes, though, and since I knew I'd be moving (eventually) it felt like a shame to throw them out.
If you've got this problem now, I recommend letting some of them go.
Yo man. I can recall that in 2020 you put a song out and i loved it. I asked you if i could play a guitar track over it...you said go for it. I think we did 4 or 5 over the years. From that collab I indirectly touched base with @nahlej381@cts@djtjb . It has been a barrel of fun...funky fun , hip hop fun, jazzy stuff more funk I love funk! So I appreciate you letting a FAWMling play on your cool stuff back in the day and the rest of MEGAMIND gang also. So stay safe and we will hook up during 5090...so keep your power dry!
Love hangin' with the big dawgs!
Hey man - thanks for swinging by and commenting. Bread was a fantastic band. Their signature song is Make It With You. I borrowed from that mainly and from Prince's And God Created Woman which is one of my all-time favorite ballads of his. Congrats on making it to 14. I wish we could have done something with our band, Megamind, but I guess it wasn't in the cards this time. However, I do have a pretty cool idea that I'm going to pitch to y'all. AND while I appreciated the explanation, I have more questions, so maybe on our page we can catch up and you can enlighten me. Thanks for you support over the years, man. I really do appreciate all that you bring to FAWM. And yes, to this day, I still study very closely what you do.
No not at all, friend! it's something about this year! I've barely listened to anyone's stuff yet either. I feel so bad. Looking forward to catching up XX
Thx Splitty...I try to add piano now and then. ..I sit a keyboard and hen peck a few chords. I marvel at your playing and you already know that..keep your songs coming.
Thanks so much for those really nice comments you left on my tracks! I'm really happy that you enjoyed them!
There are two parts that use the breath controller in "A Short February". They are both lead parts. Some sections have two melodies trading between a synth-y sound (EVI-NER)and a trumpet (improvisor audio jazz trumpet). Those are using the breath controller. I'm doubling the the synth part with a non breath controller part sometimes.
Without opening up the project, the breakdown part is either a clavinet or electric piano run through a bunch of swirly guitar like effects. I think it was a slow moving auto-wah and some kind of phaser effect to give a unpredictable pulsating effect? Then at the end of the chain some kind of distortion. I having the distortion mostly engage as the pulsating is louder (which gives it a weird texture). Then I'm also playing with the pitch bend manually.
Thank you also for the comments on the "Cyborg at the Bar" as well. It's one of my favorites from this FAWM in part because it came together pretty quickly without much fuss (I've been feeling kind of blocked and frustrated lately).
Dang, thanks! I'm actually working on vocals right now. not me personally , someone else. the final mix with vocals will be much different i presume , as ill have to cut back on some of the synths to make room for vocals. thanks for the listen!
RE: Level One BG Music - thank you so much for your comment on my track! :-) The picture you painted in your comment made me smile! I def appreciate it! :-)
oo sounds good. let's make one like that. do you want to send me a wordless track with a drum beat and/or lead (it doesn't have to be a track with a drum beat and / or lead. you can send me anything), then I can add into it, then I'll pass it back to you, and then back to me, etc? Or I can send one to you first!
Haha, yes please! Also, I want to send this since it was the exact song my mind went to, a total classic I used to listen to on my mp3 player when I was 12.

Also thanks for the comments! I'm always so happy to read your thoughts!
hello! I'm finally here! Hmm collab idea - want to start with the no chill club music idea that we talked about way back when, inspired by Chronicles of a Fallen Love - Bloody Beetroots? I also still have some tracks last time that you sent me that I could work on. I can also work on something you already have in mind e.g. add voice and instruments on top of an existing track. Orrr we can start with something from scratch. Super excited. Nice to 'see' you, Splitty~
If you just want to send the instrumental I can take it from there. Figured I will just one longer verse on it. My email is attached to my page just let me know you emailed. So I know to double check spam as well.
Thanks for listening to "bawu" and for your comment !
The stuttering one is a guzheng, a chinese citar. I found a VST of it a while back (http://www.chineekong.com/freebies.htm).
I usually make "angry" music so it was fun to do something else, especially playing a real instrument for once ^^ I'm no bawu player, but I tried my best
hahaha Rhapsody!? A blast from the past haha!! Thank you so much for your comment, my friend that made me so happy. I'm really glad you connected with it. I really loved snow patrol. I listened to them after the end of a very short relationship during my highschool years, and I can hear my favorite songs in my head just reading your comment!
Thank you so much for listening to and commenting on „The return of the sun god“ - I also had the same feeling, that the song is like the course of the sun through the day, setting for the evening at the end, without planning out the song like that.
Having the Arturia collection always helps me with the sounds - 'Mirrorball' features their Jupiter 8 emulation for all the pads. A Jupiter 8 or Prophet 5 instantly generates that early 80s (pre-DX7) vibe as most of the tracks at that time used one or the other.
…and so it begins, soon. I know you will be ready. I know you will do great things. I know I will be one of the many that say inside their minds, “this dude is all kinds of dope.”
*Peace sign*
