Started piano lessons in preschool and continued with rock, jazz and classical lessons. Flunked classical piano audition at Univ. of Washington, dropped out of school, moved to California to become rock and roll star. LOL. Singer and keyboard player for many years even though I'm not a very good singer. Loved playing music, didn't enjoy entertaining/telling jokes and music business in general. Retired from work now, can focus on songwriting which I'm still learning about, but really love. Horrible performance anxiety, but no longer need to perform. I can write lyrics fairly quickly but the music takes me longer. I am so amazed and impressed that some of you are able to write words and music and record during a one hour skirmish!
