It’s another cold morning, but I can’t stay in bed
Too many thoughts are flying, racing round my head
I can see the dawn approaching, another day begins
I will not waste my time, worrying about pointless things

I can see some red appearing, traced out in the sky
Like a cosmic painting, arranged from up on high
But there’s little sign of movement, the trees are standing still
If I can’t be happy today, I know I never will
