Not sure where this came from, honestly. The couplet about "oxygen" and "breathe again" was in my phone. I started playing the bass part on the marimba and it was so low that it became the beat as well. Trying to focus on the positive, I guess. Feels a bit like a mantra or a secular hymn.

I used to play percussion and marimba was always my favorite so that pulled me in. Love the marimba part in this song. This gives me Paul Simon vibes (in a positive way), and I like the positivity of it. That even if it feels like the world is ending (and I feel that myself sometimes lately, lol), there's still goodness to be found. Love the line "what good can we do?" especially! Thanks for the positivity!

Very cool! Sort of has a hint of pop sensibility similar to They Might Be Giants, but with your own intimate take. The vibe of the song really compliments the lyrics. Nicely done.

Nice write! Carries the sense that hope is a thing we can share, like divers with their regulators.

I'm always a sucker for the marimba -- you've made it the heart of the song, which warms my own.

Yeah, I like the lyrics and the positivity of it all. Simple and sparse to allow the instruments to be clearly heard.
The little sequenced bit that pops in as a tease and then fully introduced to end the song is a nice touch. And the laugh. Super fun.

Love the deep groove you're getting with just the marimba. And wow was I happy with the final incorporation of the kick drum and synth... my brain kept wanting it to appear and it exploded nicely once I got there. Super satisfying. Really cool tune, I expect this is a precursor to a common lyrical concept we'll be hearing this year.
