A beat for a song by a fantastic singer that never got finished up and released. Which is a shame, cuz this was one of the best tracks I ever produced. It was my first time successfully making a 3/4 waltz-time beat. I made it atmospheric and ethereal at the singer's request, while using hip-hop drums to keep it anchored in the streets. Aaliyah was a big influence on the singer, so I did my best to capture that style, while meshing it with my mellow groove.

If I could sing a lick, I'd probably hop on this myself...

i long thought that you couldnt get a hiphop groove to make sense in anything other than 4 but this works seamlessly

I can definitely hear the Aaliyah influence haha- Loving the mid 90's mellow rnb vibe!! Would definitely love to hear it with vocals one day!(-‿- )
