I have chosen Ray Davis from the kinks. It started off sounding a lot more like the Kinks when I wrote the song on my acoustic guitar but I enjoyed making this one as I managed to play live drums throughout a song (without cheating) for the first time.
I had to wrestle with the mix down and my ears hurt now so I'm not sure if it sounds like I think it does. I'll check it out tomorrow...

ooooo a top top listen. And i love the idea of this ghostwriting challenge. I am rubbish at keeping up with forums. And i closed my eyes and totally imagined a bit of ray davies here even in the delivery. but the melody and harmonies is so up kinks street. Overall a bloody awesome song.

Totally sounds like a Kinks title! And the verse definitely has a Ray Davies' vibe. But then you soar into those beautiful Dan high notes on the chorus - that bit's definitely you (in a good way). Awesome crunchy mix, love the distortion on the vocal, the drums are fab. Nice work!
