Drinks And Nibbles
Liner Notes
A combination of brief electro bits and longer rock elements. Named after a vague idea for what the (unwritten) lyrics were going to be after my previous song - they were going to be about getting snacks for "the visitor"...
Some of the sounds are produced using SynthCart, a music making cartridge for the Atari 2600 (it can be used on original hardware or emulation). You can download the ROM file from the author's site here: https://www.qotile.net/synth.html
The main rock outs were done using Kontakt 7 instruments, in Renoise.
As stated there were going to be lyrics, but in the end I decided it would take up too much time, and I need to catch up after having joined slightly late - I might add some at some point later.

@iwilleatyou
That's cool that you used Kontakt within Renoise. It sounds like actual playing. Also dig the 2600 sounds. My favorite 2600 song is Tunnel Runnerr; it’s so dumb it's great.

Great follow-up to the first piece.
I like how the dissonance halfway thru suggests the idea that getting "snacks for the visitor" could be a kind of resistance and fighting back against the terror droids :-)
Go get 'em!

The Atari section feels wonderfully like something I'd hear when playing California Games or something and the rock section is a killer riff! Love the wild drums too.
