I came across this story today about Daisy, an AI chatbot who is designed to keep scammers talking as long as possible to stop them scamming other people. It made me smile, and write a song about it.
Lyrics
Daisy was waiting, she expected the call
She knew how to talk for England
78 years young, that’s what she said
She kept them talking into the night
Did you say Play store? I though you said pastry
My hearing isn’t what it once was
I’m a little old lady and you sound quite shady
I’ll wait for you to fill in the pause
You sound quite nice dear, you must call again
I don’t get so many calls as I used to back then
My family’s moved they don’t keep in touch
Do you have a favourite flavour of fudge now dear?
I can’t see a thing cos my eyesight is bad
Just tell me what to do, and please don’t get mad
Put in my password is that what you said?
Now where would I find that, it’s gone out of my head
Hello, hello are you still there?
