Liner Notes

Song 3/5
Title: Ten of Water
Card: Ten of Water
Plant: Self Heal

Inspired by the "Lineages of Change" tarot cards.
I picked out 5 cards, one from each category, and will write a song for each of those 5.
Each card has a plant associated with it, which will be referenced in the song.
I hope you enjoy.

Lyrics

(x2)
Ten of Water.
Amaze in the flower, of self heal.

Told my lover.
Their truth is power, its real.

Told my daughter,
Her soul is power, and surreal.

(x2)
Ten of Water.
Amaze in the flower, of self heal.

Vocal is fabulous, and the guitar carries a lot of power. Overall tone is mystical and enchanting. Have you heard of Dhafer Youssef? Your voice reminded me of his. Check out "Soupir Eternel"!

@abudabard12514 Nice! I had no idea 😀 , I honestly wish I was able to upload photos with the songs here on FAWM, so that ya'll can see what I see for those songs!
But I'm totally down for that celebration, any time ya 7abib.

@mosno yeah man! That's effectively the picture on the Ten of Cups (Water) in the traditional rider-waithe tarot deck, it's not literally a bonfire but it's definitely a celebration that would warrant one lol

@abudabard12514 Shukran ya 7abib, its so ironic that the song of Water inspires a dance around the bonfire! love it! Thank you!

Yes! A great setting of the X of Cups. Celebrate and commune, even if you're alone. The chuggeda chuggeda triplets really give it that dancing around a bonfire vibe

@williamjames hahaha!! Thank you very much, I don't usually use my falsetto in whole songs! but somehow this happened! :D So glad you enjoyed it, thank you.

@nannerll Thank you, Florence is an amazing artist, so I very much appreciate being someone to remind people of her, thank you :)

@huskee_poketto Thank you so much fam! I try when ever I can to do more 'empowering' songs! or sneak it in there when I can for the younger generations! I'm so glad your enjoying these! thank you sooo much :)

Wow. Was not expecting thta higher register! Very cool. This has infectious rhythm and the repetition really starts driving this to the back of my head in a good way. Very infectious song!

@midwayfair hahaha, thanks buddy, I'm glad that falsetto is still there with all the sleep deprivation I'm in!

Thanks for that "Mojo Pin" song, wow, his voice is super smooth! I need to practice mine a little more now! :D

I'm glad your falsetto is undimmed by age. Not that we're that old, but you know what I mean. :)

BTW Buckley's Grace album

His dad was Tim Buckley, who was also a great singer that used a lot of falsetto. They died around the same age as each other.

@jaxmuzak Thank you so much for the lovely compliment, I have not personally heard Jeff Buckley's music, so now I'm curious about it.

Yes I am enjoying this card challenge, I have 2 more to go then I need another challenge. I'm glad that this one came out a bit more chipper, the other 2 songs seemed pretty heavy.

Oh man, this would be such a great jam tune, the simple chords really lend it to it.
So glad your enjoying this, I appreciate it.

It's so fun to hear the range of songs that are growing from this card challenge. I really like this one... it's simplicity and mantra quality drive home the words, which I find quite comforting. And I can easily imagine this being as full or heavy or powerful as you wanted it to be. This would be super fun to jam IRL with a group of musicians, to see where you took it together.

(Also, I'm getting serious Jeff Buckley vibes from your work... idk if you're into his music, but I mean that as a compliment 😊)

@morganxamethyst Thank you so much, I wanted to see if I could make a simple repetitive song of some kind, I'm so glad your enjoying it!

Wow, I really like your playing style of the guitar very Eurythmics and a good contrast for your voice
