Mechanized Tech Billionaire Street Brawl
Liner Notes
This is a track of unspecified position off of a concept album: "CODE: UV". The album tells the story of The UltraViolets, a team of young superheroes turned fugitive vigilantes as they confront a corrupt society and their place within it.
This #numetal #grunge #rock pastiche evokes Bush-era bands like Rage Against The Machine and Limp Bizkit, and is similarly politically minded. It is also, and I cannot stress this enough, VERY unfinished. But I want to hit 14 of these things and I'm just not enjoying working on this song anymore after 3 days so I guess it's what we're getting for now. I'll come back to it later.
Our young team of government-identified "terrorists" The UltraViolets are trying to prove to the world that they are heroes despite their propaganda-aided bad reputation. They decide to start taking on high level crime that even the Professional Heroes won't touch, in an attempt to show how useful to society they can be.
One such crime is a rash of brutal extrajudicial lethal attacks on petty criminals performed by a group of violent vigilantes called The Vultureon Corps. The UltraViolets swoop in to protect one of the Corps members' victims, harming the assailant and earning his ire.
The injured Corps member comes back in a giant mechanical vulture suit and puts civilians at risk to goad the UltraViolets into an unfair rematch. The UltraViolets win! And they reveal the assailant to be... Kellan Stank, one of the richest men in the entire city, attacking petty criminals as a fun hobby.
The UltraViolets try to turn Stank into to professional heroes and reveal the nature of the Vultureon Corps- but the pros already know, and won't do anything about it. Stank has been using his vast wealth to pay the Professional Heroes and Police to turn a bind eye his violent crimes. Needless to say, he gets away unharmed, and the UltraViolets are forced even deeper into hiding, now targeted directly by the elite class of Halcyon City.
Lyrics
When billionaires get bored,
Worn out by cash and ego,
They take up the shield and sword.
And make pretend they're heroes.
They beat up on the trodden down,
Not a care for the consequences.
So what if they go too far?
They can pay off all expenses.
Like Vultures, selfish to the core,
Scavengers, targeting the poor.
