I went to the cinema yesterday and saw a documentary about a french singer who lived in my town. He is kind of a local hero. Jean-Luc Le Ténia was the french equivalent of Daniel Johnston and wrote between 1300-2000 songs.

I extracted his vocals with the website lalal.ai
This song is a cover of his cover song.

You can find the orignal song here : https://shorturl.at/truvx

I don’t know enough French to understand what is being said beyond “Au cinéma” but based on the vibe, Jean-Luc and I are on the same page. Beyond that, I love the use of a tool like lalal.ai to do a cover with a hero, and I think you’re rendition is very nice.

Aaaahhh, I love this! Definitely has that Molchat Doma feeling. You really manage to create a soundscape of which I only dream of.

An intriguing idea, and I have to say the realization really works. Listened to the original so I could compare the versions and I find it really cool that by replacing the guitar with bass and drums, you're in effect making the song more melodic than it originally was.
