Bump!
by @brisk
Liner Notes
A quick one that I've done now the rest of the household has gone to bed. Utterly incoherent, but closely based on a true story; this all happened to me at a house party in East London in the summer of 1997.

Lyrics
Take it back home.
Will I fall in love with you tonight?
Will you do the things they say you might?
You're pushing me up against the wall

Smokey, sexy,, moody.... I can practically see the improvised mood-lighting. Love that fuzzy guitar lick.

Angular it most certainly is. I’m guessing the muffled vocal is a post-bedtime necessity, but it’s also quite fun trying to make out what you’re saying. The arrangement is absolutely knock-out, love the gritty guitar riff against the soft synths, and the general Pet Shop Boys-esque pertness to the whole affair. Killer track mate!

my story is generally totally incoherent! got all the radio hit elements. the vox is a bit deep in the mix but this is a fabulous song!

You gotta be kidding me...Do you know no bounds to your creativity? The music is inspired. This may be intentional on your part but I'd like to hear some of the vocals louder in the mix, particularly in the beginning.

Did I miss this when it was massive a few decades ago? I'm guessing it still gets played regularly on certain stations and playlists and is on those around at the time's favourites list?
I'm glad I've caught up with the track now 'cos it's a banger!

Love it! I love the arrangement. It sounds like at early 80s post-punk/ art-rock band that were too cool to make at the time. And then their demos were discovered by the next generation..why am I making up a backstory? Anyway, I like it.
