Fawmer since 2012. I write in many styles, always experimenting, always striving to improve (especially on the mixing side of things, which I find really difficult).
Due to insecurity I spent many years not playing my music for anyone, but since 2017 I've written / recorded / released more than 60 albums.
Currently - full time carer for my mom who has Alzheimer's. It gives me very little time to myself, and leaves me with very little energy (both physical and mental). It's hard. My life isn't really my own at the moment, I had to abandon the psychology degree I was doing, and much of my time is spent driving back and forth, watching repeats of Doc Martin and Emmerdale, attending appointments at the dementia clinic, etc.
Therefore I'm unlikely to be taking part this year. I can throw lyrics and music together very quickly, but having little time for community involvement (listening, commenting, etc) means it wouldn't be fair for me to join in and not give back as much as I take. If I find that I do have some spare time, I'll try to jump in and listen and then maybe post a few things, but I tried to do that last year and I don't think I even made it to 50 comments (sorry!).
I was finally diagnosed with autism a couple of years ago at the age of 47, after a lifetime of struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, Trichotillomania, and wondering why I was 'different'.
Love to you all.
