WinterSerenade

Liner Notes

To change your destination, it might help to change where you start from....

This track was born because I wanted to create something slightly different, so I started with a guitar melody, which isn't usual for me and it blossomed from there. More orchestral and choir work again on this one.

I was thinking as I was putting this together during today, about the weather we've had of late here in the UK and it being pretty miserable - except today, it has been cold but very sunny. So both my wife and I have been in the garden and things started to look up a bit, hence the 'winter serenade'.

Used to make this track:
Reaper DAW
Heavyocity Foundations Nylon Guitar and Choir
Soundpaint Majestic strings and Taiko Ensemble
BBCSO horns
Probably some reverb!

Hi, Carl, This is beautiful! And the title is perfect. Nice to see you here again.
PS How are the doggies?

Lovely guitar sounds. The thick orchestral bed you have going on behind everything is most appealing to me though. I could just cozy up to that endlessly lol. Just beautiful man.

Super relaxing, the guitar sound and melody are very soothing and it works so well with the slightly jittering tremolo strings. I like how the guitar echo effect is in-rightm.

Nice surprise with the drums around 1:45, this may be my favorite part. Sounds a bit "military", which is a nice contrast. Also really liked the change to a few different chords at 2:05

Also: yay, #reaper :D And I also use the BBC symphony orchestra stuff 😀

Oh, this is absolutely splendid. Strings and acoustic guitar are a match made in heaven. And when the angelic choir kicks in, that's where we end up. Beautiful.

Lovely! Rested my heart rate for sure. You accomplished what you wanted, and played some beautiful guitar in it. Love the ups and downs through the arrangement, it's quiet enchanting, and that's not a word I use a lot!
