Liner Notes

Spent all day on a heavy collab—needed a reset. Sat down, and this beat came out. Melody? Check. Bass? Check. Lyrics? Pure nonsense, “Glass Onion” style. Somehow, it almost makes sense… but not quite.

Lyrics

Verse 1

She is the cake girl
You are the next sir
I am the topper
Where mixture is the fare

She’s busy swinging
You need convincing
I am the sinking
Minion in the chair

They’re sometimes funny
We’ve gotten bloody
I’ll leave here hungry
But mints are in the square

They’ll burn the rafters
We’ll read the laughter
I’ll fly out faster
And leave before the scare

Chorus

Press your luck
With a palm tree touch
There’s a big deal fix
With those sexy lips

Rub your coins
In the windy noise
See those handsome treats
Grow out from the seeds

Leave your chase
With some tilted praise
Every one shall pass
Looking through the glass

Throw your love
In the orange crush
There is a free flow
Chilling in the ghost

Verse 2

She is not coming
You are too trusting
I am the cunning
Master of the art

She’s seen your number
You’ll be the blunder
I’ve heard the thunder
Striking at the heart

They’ll sit here quiet
We’ll take the brightest
I’ll be excited
Cuz now the ending starts

They’ve started sleeping
We’ve started weaving
I’ll say good evening
And ramble out to dark

This has a super fun feel. Definitely hearing the 80’s influence but very poppy (a la say Duran Duran). Nice job!

So Kim Wilde, love it!

The synth + bass line is SO good. I'm not sure what you've been smoking, but these are some seriously surreal lyrics. And like you say, they work so well because they are just approaching making sense, which means people can take their own meanings where they find them. Lovely clean production, everything's in its right place, just busy doing its thang. Very cool track!

Unadultered pop and flashback to the eighties. Quite the earworm too ... and it got my shoulders rocking and brought a smile to my face

I love the rhythm of the end lines in the verses. Such a fun/cool idea!
Fun groove too! Love that bass break down at the start of the second verse. Nice production trick to keep the second half interesting.

80’s pop fever dream. I love it! Makes me want to wear neon.

The opening lines were like, "Yeah, I get it" and then it gets more and more curious. The lively beat keeps the listener strapped in for the ride with no regrets.

The nonsense is fantastic and I love the little rhythm melody combo on those last verse lines, overall feel brings those palm trees to mind - bop!
