Liner Notes

Not sure where this one came from - was kind of "writing a vibe" I think
Another somewhat rushed #acousticonetake to get ahead of what promises to be a busy week or so..
I think I really like this though, so I hope to find time for a better/fuller take

Lyrics

Now You're Running
I can feel it in my bones. I guess I always will
Subtle way the world shifted, when you got your fill
Sometimes my love is with me, even when she's not
Not dealing in forgiveness - in case you forgot

You ain't seen the likes of me - never gonna guess my name
All the things you think you've seen...never gonna be the same

Been out on these roads, walking every mile
"that's just how it goes" he says, with a smile
I can find you in the dark of night - in the light of day
Ain't nowhere that you can hide - never gonna get away

You ain't seen the likes of me - never gonna guess my name
All the things you think you've seen...never gonna be the same

'cause, now you're running, now you're running
Now you're running, running away

running away, running away

Sometimes, my love is with me - even when she's not.

This could be in a documentary about then old west. Again, a melancholy tune. You have a great voice for this kind of track.

We have to write dark songs sometimes to get rid of the dark feelings. So happy you let your voice shine in this song. Good melody and a deep rich sound.

I would be so happy if I could do that one take. My last acoustic song was 22 takes and heavily stitching the parts together plus correcting the one or another timing issue.

there's some melancholily here and it's turning out to be a good thing for the song.

Always jealous of anyone that can do an #acousticonetake - for me red light fever takes over and I fluff it up.

I love how the rhythm is evocative of movement, like a fast walk or a long distance run. The vocal lines are so full of melancholy I can taste it.

Love the melody on top of your guitar playing! It fits super well with the progression. Doing One take with just you, an instrument, and a microphone really gets the ideas going.
