Liner Notes

I started this idea off whilst noodling around on a beat up old parlor guitar I picked up in a charity shop recently. I guess that why it's gone in a slightly more garage blues direction (my natural home it seems...).
Liam and Matt then beefed things up with the driving syncopated drum beat and some throaty vocals.
We'd be really interested to hear if people prefer this kind of style, or the more 90's alt rock feel of our first 2 tunes??

Anyway, thanks for having a listen and we've only got 11 more songs to write now! 🤪😀

Lyrics

Third Mountain Peak

This time has been set on our rise and fall
let the mountains call
I am going to want it all

But if I race up
To the top of the hill
But My view is high way down on the road

But the ride and feeling in my heart
Let it just go
And let it all fall out
But I can’t know
Why the rain beats down hard on my radio

Give my best to those on arrival
Take what you need for survival
But I need all of the suns raise

But I am all right, if I hold, I got to no where I got now where else to go
I love, and I hope, that from this hill I will know
Which way to go yeah

With a deep breath in her eyes
A sunken sound in sighs
You call out you call out

Cause where old, and cold
We should break out and go

I know, the road is a long way to go

Wow! This is really great!
LOVE this slide guitar in the opening … but also through the whole song!
Powerful vocals!
Brilliant, guys!

Ok, this is really why I’m here. Particularly that opening guitar bit. I’m just such a fan of that type of playing. The rest is great too but…I could listen to those first 20 seconds on repeat for quite a while.

A: this style sounds great to me.

"I know, the road is a long way to go"
Yes. Yes, it is.

I hope you next 11 songs are as good as this

Such a cool blues rock / garage rock track. Great riffs and soide guitar. Could be straight from the 90s.

You finally managed to write a song with 3 in the title. Now I wait for number 4....

Ooh yes. Love the slide guitar and grungy vocals on this. Was just wishing for a slide solo, the intro was so satisfying I wanted more. Great imagery in the lyric, all around really nice tune!

Three songs in, three number references, you have to commit to that as a thing now, surely? This is another cracker. Those slide lines are so good, and the vocal is glorious, got a real grittiness that sounds awesome. In terms of the balance of this or that style, I like the mix! Do as you the muse commands!

As an aside, my son bought me an old parlour guitar with the intention of converting it to a rubber bridge - he did one of his a few years ago and it sounds great. But there is no location for the bridge where it intonates anything like properly. Took it to a tech, and he gave it back with a firm "no, can't be done". It gathers dust now under desk, essentially with a floating bridge, as in I can slide it around. In fact, maybe using it for slide would be an option for it...?

This is legit! I suck at slide guitar but love it so much. Great playin’

Wow that sounds really great. It still has an alt 90s feel mixed with slide blues. I enjoyed it.
