Jazz of Love

Liner Notes
This is my first real attempt at writing a jazz song and I couldn't figure out a way to emulate the brushes so I was forced to use a sample from YouTube. I'd consider this song incomplete, I was considering writing a trumpet solo at the point where it ends but I can't spend so much time on one song so this is the best it can be right now. I'll be updating these notes with the process video soon :) #jazz #waltz
P.S I did do some heavy vocal tuning on here using Melodyne, I figured it's best to be transparent about it since I know how some people feel about vocal tuning.
The process: (kind of, i lost a significant amount of footage due to a couple screw ups)
Lyrics
Underneath the twilight's gleam
Your eyes like stars begin to dream
Whispers of the night persist
In the magic of your kiss
A melody in minor key
Your laughter sings a symphony
Softly swaying as we dance
Lost within a sweet romance
Oh the rhythm of our hearts
Plays its tune as love imparts
Every note is sheer delight
In the jazz of love tonight
Each moment like a tender rhyme
Caught within this spell of time
Your touch a gentle serenade
In this love that we have made
Oh the rhythm of our hearts
Plays its tune as love imparts
Every note is sheer delight
In the jazz of love tonight

And, your vocals are magical. I don't know if you're using tuning there, but it sounds great! Dayum, good stuff

(not sure I can notate the part, but I'd be happy to add a piano track to the existing recording if you can generate a piano-less version and the chord chart)

This is already beautiful as it is; the trumpet solo you're thinking of adding might jazz it up a bit but it does not feel to me like it's missing anything.
