And my husband has a Smart Watch with a yellow band, and he doesn't go anywhere without it.

[Verse 1]
he wore it on his wrist as a prize to behold
a face with many dials and colours bold
it talked to him when he was walking too slow
it kept him right on track...his status quo, status quo
but he worried about the path that he should take
and consulted the dials to make sure it was safe.

checking on the tides, when they rise and fall
checking on the sunset, and tonight's moon glow
making sure his navigation 's all complete
before he steps out to cross the busy street.

[verse 2]
he chose a yellow band, his favorite colour
he wore it proudly, cast off all the others
he had a drawer full of relics and has beens
with hands and batteries and broken springs
but his favorite just needed charging for an hour
and he could wait patiently while it got power

He programmed it to remind him of each meal,
But forgot to input his snack of orange peel.
It buzzed him at breakfast, lunch, and dinner,
But never remembered to help him stay slimmer.
So he tweaked the settings, hoping for the best,
And ended up with reminders to floss and rest.

His smartwatch knew the weather and the temperature,
Yet couldn't predict the neighbor's doggie adventure.
It warned of snow storms, it warned of gusts of wind,
But missed the sprinkler's aim that soaked his rear end
So he navigated all its quirky yet precise demeanor,
A trusty companion through each digital misadventure.
