After a handful of pretty emotional tracks I decided to do a little ambient breather piece.

@hyssop inspired the ambience. Still don't think it's of the same clarity as your recent pieces but I thought I'd give it a go! I still require a bunch of pointers but hey, as long as the song feels vaguely cold.

@howthenightcame also inspired a tiny part of this. You got me back into Survival Horror OSTs so I tucked an RE2 Save Theme-adjacent nod within it.

This is very beautiful. Very visual track, painting wintry landscapes in front of me. A track to get lost into.

Thanks @candle! I'm in Ontario too, and that's what made me do the track! There's solidarity in being frozen and snowed in!

Been suffering a deep cold spell up here in NW Ontario for the past couple of weeks. This feels like the soundtrack to the weather we’ve been suffering from up here.

I love the layers. Lots of interesting things going on if you listen closely. Yeah, I enjoyed this quite a bit.

This is so beautiful and so cold! I love it! The foley samples are a great choice and I love how you layered over the "windy" drone. I think you've got a lot of clarity here! Really great job!

great moody intro and then the ominous door - is it opening or closing? there is a sweet bitcrush effect hovering in the right channel which makes me feel that is the direction that the wind is blowing. i love this - more please!

Brrr! Now I definitely feel cold. I like how the howling wind is like a melody line woven in throughout. It's definitely a vibe. I don't listen to a lot of ambient, so I personally would love more presence to the melodic aspects. But what is there is very tasteful and cool.
