I've been meaning to write a protest song specifically for women in the US affected by the administration (YES, this includes trans women!) for a while, and I finally cracked it this morning.

This is incredible, as usual - such power in both lyrics and delivery! I hate that this is the world we live in but you're knocking it out of the park speaking truth to power in your protest songs.

I have been a lover and writer of protest songs since i wrote my first one in 1964. For the past eight years or so we have been inundated with namby-pamby anti-trump songs that could have been written by CNN newscasters. No personality, no personal point of view, noting we couldnt hear just by turning on the television. But here we have a real voice. A strong voice of protest, a stirring call to action. No tired homilies, but a precise and insightful call to action to battle a specific enemy, And it is very exciting for me, who has been singing against the evils of america's politics throughout every single administration I have lived through to hear a true voice laying it on the line and calling out for others to join her, to raise their voice against the power elite that threatens their freedoms.

You've done it again! Love the passion and the angst! The "we were born for this" part I can hear as a mantra sung en masse as hordes of angry women descend on the powers that be! And I really love the quiet ending -- a contrast to the way you snarl the word "woman" the first two times!
