Skirmish: Pheromones (@atornberg)Liner Notes
This was for the "Pheromones" skirmish. Written yesterday, but only recorded this morning. The most frequent way in which attraction works is through the basic visual apparatus - the eyes. Maybe some people get off on perfumes, the sound of a voice, etc. But my narrator explains about a couple whose relationship started with him eyeing her up and deciding to follow her.
Guys who do this may not be aware that the lass in question is reading their behaviour as stalking. In this case, he gets his comeuppance for his folly.
Two Ukuleles are used here. The finger picked one is a "Les Paul" Concert Uke tuned ADFA - the other is an Oscar Schmidt 8 String playing at being the rhythm section.

Lyrics
Differing Perspectives Ukuleles tuned ADFA & GCEA
(Am) He followed her up the path way
This beauty to him unknown
Dreaming of romance
(C) Tired of being on his (Am) own
She became aware of his presence
And nervously quickened the pace
Worriedly, he mimicked her
A(C)cross this lonely (Am) space
He didn't mean to frighten her
That was the last thing on his mind
But fascinated by her
He kept the pace behind
Her heart was beating faster
There could not be any doubt
This stranger was now following her
So, she prepared to lash out
(Dm) Differing Perspectives
Of the same event
(Am) What to one was torture
To the (1) other (2) might (3) be (2) well (Am) meant
He liked the way her body swayed
She'd a sensual rolling walk
He played out contact in his mind
As the path began to fork
"Left or right?" she wondered
Which would keep her safe
She didn't know the area
What's the best way to escape?
He decided to take the initiative
His opening remarks he'd planned
But he saw before he could utter them
There was something in her hand
She span around unexpectedly
He remembers to this day
The burning stinging hurt of
That can of pepper spray
CHORUS

oh here’s a good quote…
“Men are afraid women will laugh at them
and women are afraid men might kill them.”
